Citrix Engineer - Virtualization (5-7 yrs)

Job Description :

- Overall 4 in IT Infrastructure experience with minimum 3 years in Citrix

- Desktop Virtualization & VMWare/Azure (Microsoft)

- Proficient in Desktop & Server Virtualization.

- Xen Desktop, XenApp Xen Server implementation and configuration

- Basic understanding on storage and connectivity fundamentals.

- Work on Desktop & Server Virtualization along with L2 & SMEs.

- Work on major incidents and provide permanent fix of it.

- Document RCAs of major incidents.

- Prepare POA and implement major changes in infra.

- Work on incident \ issues escalated by L2 team and provide permanent fix.

- Work on creating LUN, shared storage and mapped to Hypervisor.

- Work along with OEM during major incidents and share relevant logs, implement solutions provided by OEM.

- ITIL Aware (specially around Incident /Problem /Change Management)

- Good team player and able to mentor L2 & L2 team.

- Manage SLA and Availability of Services

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage & troubleshoot Citrix Desktop Virtualization, XenDesktop, XenApp, XenServer implementation and configuration.

- Work on Desktop & Server Virtualization issues along with L2 & SMEs.

- Handle major incidents and provide permanent fixes.

- Document Root Cause Analyses (RCA) for major incidents.

- Prepare Plans of Action (POA) and implement significant infrastructure changes.

- Work on incidents/issues escalated by the L2 team and provide long-term resolutions.

- Create & manage LUNs, shared storage, and hypervisor mappings.

- Collaborate with OEM vendors during major incidents, provide logs, and implement recommended solutions.

- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

- Mentor L2 teams and guide them in troubleshooting and best practices.

- Monitor SLA adherence and service availability.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4+ years of IT Infrastructure experience, with at least 3 years in Citrix Desktop Virtualization & VMware/Azure (Microsoft).

- Expertise in Citrix solutions (XenDesktop, XenApp, XenServer).

- Basic knowledge of storage and connectivity fundamentals.

- Experience handling major incidents and RCA documentation.

- Proficiency in creating & managing LUNs, shared storage, and hypervisors.

- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ability to work in an SLA-driven environment.

- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams & vendors.

- Team player with mentoring capabilities for L2 engineers.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications in Citrix, VMware, or Microsoft Azure.

- Experience working with OEM vendors for troubleshooting.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
