The PX (Product Experience) Operations team at VistaPrint focuses on scaling product & design excellence so that our cross-functional product teams can build products that our customers and internal teams love. About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Product Operations Manager to join our team and focus on driving our efforts to streamline quantitative data, insights, and market research for strategy creation & monitoring. This role will partner closely with our various internal data teams to determine how we can ensure a consistent flow of insights to our product teams and raise the quantitative data IQ of the Product Experience organization. While this is intended to be the primary focus area, this person will also be expected to lead or partner with other PX Operations team members on initiatives related to product management best practices. This role will report to the Product Operations Director.
What you will do:
- Define the outcome-based roadmap & tactics for how we will make it easier for product teams and leaders to discover reliable and relevant customer insights
- Partner with internal teams to analyze the current state of data products, methods, and available sources of customer insights and market research
- Drive visibility & usage of data & insights resources amongst product teams and domain leaders to help establish strong data habits & self-service within our teams
- Act as a strategic partner to product teams and domain leaders throughout discovery & delivery cycles and annual strategic planning process to ensure they have a holistic view of customer insights & market trends and help them identify potential areas of high impact to the business
- Create data visualizations that Product Leadership can use to monitor and inform strategy deployment
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership and key stakeholders, providing regular updates on the progress, outcomes, and impact of data & insights work
- Identify opportunities to automate, optimize, and refine processes to help our teams work more efficiently and effectively
- Engage and influence cross functional teams for designing/modifying their processes for more effective product development
Your Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience in product operations, product management, program management, or a related role, with a proven track record of success in driving operational excellence and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong curiosity, and the investigative and critical thinking skills needed to get to the root cause of your questions
- Experience in connecting various data points to deliver comprehensive analyses and facilitate informed decision-making
- Ability to synthesize findings from customer interactions and data analytics into coherent recommendations for optimizing product strategies and operational efficiencies.
- High level of financial literacy - able to understand the P&L drivers of a given product and make decisions that create win-wins for customers and VistaPrint's bottom line
- Experience in areas such as market research, statistics, finance or qualitative/quantitative research is a plus
- Experience in designing and managing product development processes and tools.
- Experience working with the Product Operating Model concepts, as well as agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Jira) is a plus.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive consensus, align priorities, and achieve common goals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions. - Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for innovation, curiosity, and a growth mindset, with a relentless focus on driving continuous improvement and delivering customer value.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving, ambiguous environment and drive positive change through innovation and continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
