About you :

The ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty.

Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ELT workflows.

- Optimize and manage PostgreSQL databases and SQL queries for performance and scalability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data architecture strategies.

- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance and support on best practices.

- Implement and advocate for agile methodologies within the data engineering team.

- Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all data assets.

- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly and efficiently.

Must-Have Qualifications :

- Excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL technologies.

- Fluent in Python for data engineering tasks.

- Strong understanding of data architecture and ELT flows/technology/methodologies.

- In-depth understanding of agile methodologies and practices.

- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications :

- Understanding of DBT (Data Build Tool).

- Familiarity with pipeline technologies within AWS (e.g, AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline, etc.

- Knowledge of data modeling and statistical analysis.
