Automation Test Engineer - Playwright Testing (5-8 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive automation test scripts for our mobile applications using the Playwright framework.

- Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, and identify failures, reporting defects with clear and concise information.

- Implement and enhance robust and scalable automation frameworks specifically tailored for mobile application testing using Playwright.

- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand testing needs, requirements, and user stories to inform automation efforts.

- Debug and troubleshoot automation script issues, analyze test failures, and propose effective solutions and improvements to the automation framework and test scripts.

- Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in automation testing, particularly within the mobile domain and the Playwright ecosystem, and recommend their adoption where beneficial.

- Participate in the planning and management of test data required for automation scripts.

- Integrate automation test scripts into our Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure continuous quality feedback.

- Contribute to efforts aimed at improving the performance, stability, and overall quality of our mobile applications through effective automation.

- Create and maintain clear and concise documentation for automation frameworks, test scripts, and test execution processes.

Requirements :

- Strong expertise in developing and executing automation test scripts specifically for mobile applications using the Playwright framework.

- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript programming languages is mandatory.

- Solid understanding of mobile application testing concepts and methodologies (iOS and Android).

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong ability to diagnose and resolve automation issues.

- Experience working in Agile development environments.

- Good understanding of software testing principles and the software development lifecycle.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Nova (please specify if this refers to a specific tool or platform).

- Familiarity with other mobile automation frameworks or tools.

- Experience with API testing and integration with mobile automation.

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

- Experience with version control systems like Git.

- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms.
