Java Backend Developer - Microservices Architecture (5-10 yrs)

About the Role :

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic and growing development team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems and services that power our applications. Your role will involve working closely with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps to deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain backend services using Java (preferably Java 8 or later)

- Design RESTful APIs and ensure high performance and responsiveness

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

- Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality

- Troubleshoot and debug applications

- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

- Ensure best practices in security, performance, and software development processes

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks

- Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and HTTP protocols

- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL - e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

- Good understanding of microservices architecture

- Knowledge of version control systems like Git

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices

- Experience with unit testing and integration testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito)

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) :

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

- Knowledge of message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and monitoring tools
