Job Description

To contribute for Electrical CAD project deliverables for Infrastructure projects as per WSP CAD standards.
Responsible for Preparation of drawings including conceptual sketches and detailed drawings for electrical using Autodesk Autocad / Autocad Electrical software with quality and accuracy utilising knowledge of relevant design principles and standards.
Prepare electrical design deliverables (Single Line drawings, Schematics, Wiring Diagrams and Terminations; and General arrangements etc) based on engineering instructions, government and regulatory codes.
Producing Electrical Drawings of LV & HV Electrical Systems including Main Switchboards, Motor Control Centres, Distribution Boards, PLC Panels and Control Panels.
Must complete a high quality self check on own work with efficiency. Should follow internal QC process to deliver high standrads project documents.
Perform revisions to engineering drawings, as marked up made by the Checkers and Leads. Verify to ensure drawing modifications are accurately and correctly carried out.
Reporting progress of work assignment to immediate supervisor. Understands the project schedule.
Communicate with internal peers and project team and may be required to answer questions regarding deliverables.
This role is to contribute to growing utilities infrastructure CAD team delivering wet utilities (including Wastewater Sewage Pumping Station and Water management structures for municipal service) deliverables in compliance with WSP Australia CAD standards.
Responsible for CAD tasks as directed by the CAD Manager and Engineer.
Responsible for Material and Quantity take off and underground utility coordination.
Actively participate in the design and provide input to the design team throughout the design process.
Working knowledge of Autodesk Vault software. Our CDE (Common Data Environment). WSP Digital Engineering standard requires the use and implication of Autodesk Vault to uphold our ISO19650 accreditation and ISO27001.
Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager.
Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies, be vigilant in regards to health and safety even when outside of work hours.
Ensuring that quality assurance (QA) procedures are implemented and maintained, becoming a champion of QA to uphold the high level of quality WSP maintain and aiming to improve QA processes.
Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required.
Support the WSP approach to sustainability, future ready and encouraging design teams in a forward thinking manner to Adopt alternate design technologies to encourage a better footprint for the environment.
Be willing to develop and learn new skills and software, cross discipline minded (understanding structural requirements, Civil requirements) and implementing those design requirements into your models / drawings.
Working within a multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver design documentation for a range of projects.
Coordinating with Australian lead offices as per project requirement.
Identify improvements (where possible) to enhance WSP service to clients. Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline.

KEY COMPETENCIES / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

Should have 3-6 years experience.
Should have diploma or Degree in Electrical or relevant field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English.
Experience in Producing Single Line Diagram , Schematics, terminations and electrical layouts, Area Classification, Distribution panel layout, cable & conduit schedule, Electrical Schematics, lighting design , Control panel c/w I/O schematics, Junction box layouts, Electrical Heat trace design, Electrical Bill of Materials.
Familiarity with electrical equipment and terminology.
Prepares engineering drawing deliverables from sketches, calculations and/or specifications.
Experience in AutoCAD is Must requirement .
Excellent knowledge of drafting software - 2d and 3d.
Experience with Autodesk software such as AutoCAD Electrical , Navisworks, Vault, BIM 360 is Preferable.
Ability to Produce electrical desigs with minimal engineering inputs.
Experience with utilities infrastructure , wastewater and recycled water project is highly regarded .
Experience with projects in Australia, New Zealand would be an advantage.
