MSC Software was a great company to work in with a positive company culture. Unfortunately, after integration with Hexagon, it has adapted a toxic work culture. People are working 14+ hours a day because there is loads of work, but not enough resources. Toxic management, managers who complain about the team members with other managers, useless HR. It is is dire state!

Likes

The team I work with (my team members). Also loved working with my earlier boss. Had the freedom and flexibility to do the projects with focus on quality and timeliness. This lead to wanting to do things better and focus on innovation and quality.

Dislikes

There has been a change in the managements. Things changed with the restructuring. Everyone wants to show that they have brought about a change in the way the system. No one is interested in knowing why things are done the way it is done. The focus is on, Ï came in and made a change". Now, there is more emphasis on hierarchical communication and reporting, filling excel sheets, what's to be done, what's not to be done, what to say, what not to say, numerous meetings and more status meetings.
