- Tata Sons has established the AI-171 Memorial and Welfare Trust to assist victims of the Air India crash, providing support for their dependents, injured individuals, and others affected by the incident.
- The trust will offer a ₹1 crore ex-gratia payment to victims, medical aid for the seriously injured, and aid in rebuilding the B J Medical college hostel infrastructure that was damaged.

- Tata Sons and Tata Trust have committed ₹250 crore each towards the trust's objectives, with a five-member board of trustees set to manage and administer the fund.
