When I had joined Tesco, I thought its a good name though I had other opportunities still I preferred to joined here. After joining of a few days I had exposed with so much of micromanagement, office politics, no work ethics neither they follow there own value, all for the name sake. Never met such a terrible manager in my life, whois a completely corrupted person. Doesn't behave equal, extremely dominating, divided people in the team, a lot of favouritism, won't even include all the team members for the celebrations.they won't let you follow flexibility when company talks about flexibility,in the name of Uk shift you will be make you work for whole day, no work life balance....Read More

There is hardly anything that you can like about Tesco. They once had a brand recognition but that has also gone down drastically in last couple of years. I honestly don't trust this brand to buy my food. There are other lot of good brands available in UK.

Dislikes

Toxic Work Environment: Local management has fostered a culture of fear, blame and favoritism rather than support and transparency. I was and most employees are treated unfairly, especially when challenging and questioning decisions. False promises and mistrust: During hiring and internal movements, I was given assurances and promises that were never fulfilled. Invariably, they paint a false picture to get you in the organization and then the real nightmare begins. Salary hikes, promotions, and role stability are often bait-and-switch tactics. Unethical HR and Leadership practices: HR is a key enabler here of poor management behavior and they are advocates of toxic leadership that sits in Bangalore office. Most of the leaders highly political and under skilled, they take refuge when a newcomer tries to show them the real picture and these so called leaders plot and plan various tactics to force them into resignations....Read More
