19 years in tech. Now delivering khana. Corporate India, are you proud?🙎🙎
Bhai logon, He wasn’t fired. He didn’t get lazy.
He just hit a rough patch and the industry left him behind.
A Bengaluru tech entrepreneur with 19 years of experience is now a Swiggy delivery guy. Nithin Kumar shared the story after receiving food from him. Turns out, the man had a solid background, ran his own business now he’s just trying to survive.
No support. No callbacks. No second chances. The same companies that once praised him? Now they don’t even pick up the phone.
And still, HRs are out here posting stuff like “we hire attitude, not degrees.” Come on. You ignore anyone with a small gap in their resume.
This is what happens when companies only value you when things are good.
They reward those who talk big. Ignore mental health. And leave you when you’re down. It’s not a career ladder anymore. It’s a trapdoor.
Not everyone left their job for “peace” or “freedom.”
Some just needed a way to survive.
Let’s be real. This system isn’t working for everyone. Thoughts?

The situation of middle management from companies also the same. People who built the business units are struggling, thanks to GCCs who hire and fire stating role is moving out of India!!

[an operations executive](username) is it? I thought GCCs are safer than IT services in terms of job security.

[sololeveller1111](username) That's what most people think and to some extent it’s true. GCCs do offer better stability and structure than traditional IT services. But lately, many have been restructuring aggressively.
People who've built entire verticals are being let go with reasons like “role moving to HQ” or “global alignment.” So while they feel safer, they're definitely not immune to sudden strategic shifts.
Have you or someone you know experienced something similar in a GCC recently?

[sololeveller1111](username) Right? If even cash-rich giants like Microsoft are cutting roles, what hope do the rest of us have? 😮💨
Makes you wonder is any job truly secure anymore, or is adaptability the only real safety net now?
What’s your plan B if things go south suddenly? Just curious how others are preparing.

My situation is the same. I'm a person with a disability (Deaf). I was removed from work telling the company facing a budget issue. I have 3 YOE. It's been 1 year since i lost my job. I still didn't get a job but now I'm doing food delivery at Swiggy. I don't know what to do next. My marriage was planned when i had that stable job now after losing my job I'm unsure about everything. My partner's family is waiting for me to get a job. I still don't know what to do next.
