Day to Day Office

Okay so there's this new girl in office.
nd idk man, I really like her.
Like, not the "oh she’s pretty" type, more like, "wait, who are you and why do you feel like a serotonin hit during this depressing 9 to 5?"

And I feel the energy from her side too.
But here’s the catch, I have this golden rule: never shit where I eat. IFYKYK.
Workplace crushes are messy, risky, and have the potential to blow up badly.

But she seems too good to just let go.
And now I’m stuck in that “should I just shoot my shot or keep it strictly  proffesh and polite nods in the pantry” zone.

Also, I’m planning to leave this job in 3 months anyway.
My startup’s picking up pace, and I’ll probably bounce.
But I want to keep the job door open just in case.

So the dilemma is:

If I ask her out and I’ve read the energy wrong, awkward af for 3 months.
If I don’t ask, I’ll probably regret not trying.

If I do ask and it works, well… great story for our “how we met” reel, no?

Laptop open, wifi perfect. Career... not so much. It wasn’t one big failure...just a thousand tiny ones. Rejections. Ghosted interviews. Skills that suddenly “weren’t enough.” 

Everyone around me seemed sorted. Promotions. Onsite roles. Hikes and me? Sitting with 6 tabs open, googling: “Jobs that don’t require confidence.” I almost gave up. Almost. Then I did something small but life changing.

He’s joining Goldman Sachs as a senior advisor the same company he once worked at 21 years ago!

What will he do now?

Basically, he’ll be helping clients understand big-picture stuff like geopolitical risks, global economy trends, and will also be interacting with people and leaders around the world.

It’s like he's going back to his finance roots but with a lot more experience this time.

From running a whole country to advising one of the world’s biggest banks. not a small switch
