[Help] Regret Asking Low Salary at Infosys – What Can I Do Now?
Hi all,
I recently cleared all rounds for a React.js role at Infosys (3.5 YOE, current CTC ₹6.5 LPA). In the HR round, I mentioned ₹10 LPA as expected, and they agreed.
Later, I found out someone with similar experience but ₹8 LPA CTC got offered ₹12.5 LPA. Now I’m regretting not quoting higher.
I haven't received the offer letter yet (they said 10 days).
Should I reach out to HR now to revise my expectation? Or wait until I get the offer? I'm worried it might backfire.
Any advice would be appreciated!

[an assistant manager](username) I was asking same to chatgpt and it was saying like if you want to ask then send mail before getting offer letter because if I sent after getting offer, they have to go through multiple step for approval and all and which they don't do again

happens to the best of us. Since offer letter’s not out yet, u can try mailing HR with a polite revision. But be ready they might stick to 10. If peace > ₹, take it. If not, no harm asking once.

[an executive](username) yes, I am scared because they are doing continuous hiring and if they think like I am greedy person so they can reject my current offer too because I am hearing some crazy stories from Infosys

Get offer and keep giving interviews

@grandpotato Yes, I'll give the interview till last date, because Infosys can not be trusted, as I've heard some stories like they reject before joining, or something like that

It’s better to wait for the offer letter. Once you have it in hand, try negotiating before accepting.

Offer aane ke baad ek baar puchh lena politely, kya pata kuch mil jaye.

HR may not entertain a revision now, but you can try explaining that after reviewing market standards, you’d like to revisit expectations.
