I am not getting call back from recruiters, is my salary high for me role ?
CCTC - 22LPA
ECTC - 30LPA
NOTICE PERIOD - 30 Days
Experience - 7.9 + years
Am I expecting the salary more for my experience and my role? Please suggest someone.
Initial recruiters will call and get all the details, and later I am not getting call back. What might be the issue ?

I would suggest asking for 27-28 LPA as it would be around 30% from your current CTC. Once you get the offer it will be easy to negotiate the offer with subsequent companies. And, you will be able to put paper. Remember when recruiter says this is too much you can always says "I am not demanding much. It's 30% from my current CTC". Then go on increasing the ECTC for the company you like.
Also, if you want to take risk,.. don't limit yourself to one city. Add more city just to get some offer. But, since in your case NP is small I am not sure if this will be a good idea.
Best of luck. Remember your expectations is genuine it's not a big ask. It's just market situation.

Buddy I have the exact same salary figure and expectation for Scrum Master role, but HRs are stupid to loose good candidates just for the sake of Budget Issues.
I would advice to ask for 28 and then slowly get your salary increased by showing offer letters

You're well within range for 7–8 years of experience, especially if you bring niche skills. Might be worth tailoring your resume for each JD though.

your expectations are fine. But that might not fit into the company's budget. Try for those companies which can offer high packages for QA/SDET roles.

Your expectations are quite ok. Go ahead with the same. You will able to get till 32 if you are good in your tech skills

Depends on location role and your experience of in the market you are working in your salary structure is matching then you will get call back but if your earnings are on higher side as compared to the market that’s the restriction there you shall have to prove your worth only then you will be considered as well as recommendations form market

Bro 90% comments here are by bots. Your salary is already quite good bro. 22 to 30 is a long jump and most companies won’t give that much. Lower your expectations. Ask for 26.

[a senior engineer](username) oh 🥺 seriously ? I was not aware of it thanks for that . Sure will reduce the ECTC

This happens sometimes. Recruiters call, get all your details, and then realize the salary you want doesn't fit the role or the company's budget. They might not call back because they know they can't meet your expectations.

[a team lead](username) so do I need to lower the ECTC or stick on the same ?

What industry, what role, what skills?
It is impossible to answer your question without these.
Always remember, you will be rewarded for your skills not your degrees or years of experience.

Yes, definitely. To be honest, for a Senior QA, this salary is on the higher side, but it’s not impossible to get offers at that level. Keep in mind that with a great salary, you also narrow the openings for the role.

When the recruiter calls don't give such huge jump numbers instead mention your ECTC as 25 26. Once your profile is forwarded and interviews are scheduled you can always negotiate your salary in the HR rounds. Don't reveal all your cards to the recruiter instead wait for the right moment to reveal what you want, once you are through to different rounds of interview it's the recruiter and HR that's under pressure to release the offer that time you can play smart and negotiate better. If you quote a big number in the initial screening call your chances of reaching the interviews will be less.

lots of things to consider. ECTC, location, notice period. or maybe recruiters are getting other candidates for less salary?
i'm earning 16 LPA at 6 years of exp. so from my POV, your ECTC at 8 years is very high. hahaha.

You are well within the range based on your experience. I would suggest to update your resume according to industry standards. Add the projects section right below the summary of your resume followed by your experience. Resume should be max 2 pages. Before appearing for an interview look at the LinkedIn profile of the hiring manager and check where they have worked in past especially domain so you can tailor your interview accordingly. I hope this helps!

Hi Friend. there could be any reason for not getting call back. But i suggest you to give good reason for changing the role & make sure when u apply for a position you check the role budget in ambitionbox/glassdoor for that position. Its of no use if u apply for a role with budget less than you CTC. Recruiter wont call you back.

ECTC of 30 on a 22 base isn’t unreasonable. Have you tried checking with people in similar roles on Blind or LinkedIn?

your salary expectations aren't crazy, but if you r asking for 30 lpa, some companies might not be able to match that. They might be looking for someone with a lower salary range. Maybe try adjusting your expectations slightly?
