I need usefull opinions on what would be the best career options right now.
Hey guys,
I am a 32 year guy who is working at Bajaj Housing Finance limited for three months, as I am postgraduated in 2017 at English Literature,
After that I took preparation for Civil services examinations for 6 years in both patterns centre and states.
As I am a non-tech students, can I go for tech career?
If I go with tech career, what would be the best role for me as I am a post graduate in english literature.
Or is there any better opportunity in sales as home loan? Because I don't get any mental peace right now,
There is no work life balance.
Actually I want a career where work and life will be balanced. Due to my general degree I didn't get any chance.
Suggest me something where I can learn something new that get me better work life.

Tech writing could be a sweet spot for you uses your English background, pays decent, and has actual WLB in most companies. Learn basic tools like Markdown, XML, and pick a domain (like SaaS, healthcare, etc.).

[a software developer](username) I’m from a non-tech background too (history), now working in Power BI. If you're analytical, you can try data visualization tools. There are short-term courses that teach you everything from scratch and companies do hire non-engineers if you show skills and projects

Bro, first of all, respect for pushing through UPSC prep. That builds serious discipline. You’re not “late” at all. At 32, you still have decades ahead to shape a new career.
And yes, tech is possible, even with a background in literature. People from the humanities are getting into tech writing, QA testing, product support, and even no-code/low-code automation.

content writing, technical writing, UX/UI design, digital marketing, or project coordination often value strong communication skills and since you have a postgraduate degree in English Literature, roles involving communication, research, or content creation could be a good fit
