So [IBM](ibm) just axed 8,000 people, and most of them are from the HR department. Why? Because AI can now read resumes, schedule interviews, give you automated rejection emails, and probably tell you “we’ll get back to you” with more emotion than some recruiters ever did.

Don’t get me wrong automation has its place. But when a company replaces humans who built its culture with lines of code, you’ve got to wonder… Is anyone safe?

First HR, then maybe finance, operations, even tech support? What’s left AI managing AI?

To IBM: maybe try evolving with your people, not without them.

Thoughts? Is this the future we signed up for?🙄

Career Advice

I spent 4 years getting an engineering degree. Then 3 more years building “corporate experience.”
Learned Python, Java, debugged more issues than I’ve had hot meals.

And guess what I earn?🥲

25K a month.
Yes, a whole 25,000 shiny rupees to be a glorified Google searcher who knows how to “fix backend issues.”

Meanwhile, YouTubers making “A Day in My Life” vlogs with 3 cuts and a cringe transition are pulling in lakhs per month. Just because they can say “Hi guys, welcome back to my channel ☕.”

Did I choose the wrong career? Or the wrong country? Or the wrong life?
(Asking for a broke, overworked friend. And for myself.)

Does tech even pay in India anymore? Or is entertainment the only profitable industry left?

I work in Nagarro as a Software Engineer.
It's been a little more than 2 years since I joined as a fresher. Salary hikes are not impressive. Trash projects, nobody knows where the company is going. I've been working with really bad liars for the past 2 years. Everyone in this company seems to be treating it as their retirement plan because they offer work from home.

I work on python automation POCs and my team is one of those "Agile" ones with no direction. It can be renamed as "Team ADHD". Their plans change every 4 hours and none of them are engineers, they are consultants (manchilds or scammers would be a good word).

I'm also not able to get other job offers, Hardly got 2 interviews after hundreds of applications across multiple platforms. I do see other people getting better roles in better companies. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm attaching *one of my resumes* in case someone wants to help me out.

Day to Day Office

I’ve noticed this happening more and more in my company and even in some big names where Gen Z employees just leave without any prior notice. Not even serving the notice period… sometimes not even officially resigning. Just disappearing.

And honestly, as millennials, we still feel guilty just writing the resignation email. So when we hear someone say “maza nahi aa raha” and leave without any process, it really makes us pause.

If you think HR doesn’t keep track of this, or it won’t matter later please know that it can affect future opportunities.

Leaving a job is totally okay. But leaving professionally and respectfully? That matters too. 

Let’s not burn bridges before we even cross them.

Gen Z, please stop ghost quitting

One of our colleagues was so enraged because our manager was forcing the employee to work a rotational shift and making him work hard.
We can all see he was too hard on him, but we thought it was part of work and our manager's behavior with everyone....... 
That person went so much into rage that he poisoned extra caffeine in our manager's coffee. He is old, suddenly collapsed after one drink, the blood pressure shooted but after drinking water, he got normal.............. That's what they call the taste of his own blood. Also, a colleague left the job after all this drama.

is it what managers want now? Waiting to get poisoned?

After looking at the condition of Gurgaon roads and traffic due to widespread waterlogging and heavy rainfall............... i feel Uber, Ola should start thinking about a new launch, BOAT !

At least we can reach the office on time!
