a senior mechanical design engineer
Looking for good opportunities | currently being victim of probation period games.
I have joined my new org and in offer letter they stated the probation period of 3 months. And they will notify the employee if probation period ends or extended via official email. But it has been 7 months I have been asking them regularly but no response from them , sometime HR says it been to the higher management and when I talked to Higher Management directly they say HR will do it . This is very bad practice and grey area . Even I have been working with all due diligence still they are not responding back. What should I do , if I resign it will reflect bad stability issues , but here I was looking to work
for a long term job with meaningful growth.
I have work experience of 7.5 years in Machine design, robotics, Defence heavy artillery systems design, High energy -hyper sonic shells
development . And little bit of experience in marine systems .

that’s messed up, 7 months in probation without clarity is not okay. Shows how casually they treat talent. With your experience, you deserve better. Start exploring, but position the switch smartly

I went through the same thing. Probation was supposed to be 3 months but hr kept dodging it for 6 months. I kept working full-time, even led a project but no formal confirmation.
One day, I applied outside, got an offer, and left. My new org didn’t even question it when I explained the situation clearly.

this is not your fault. what they’re doing is highly unprofessional. Probation can’t just go on silently for 7 months. Either extend it officially or confirm conversion anything else is shady.
Just keep written proof mails, messages of all follow-ups. In case you resign later, at least you hv shown you tried to get clarity.

[kartavyakabulava](username) yes , I have all the proofs , but here I wanted to work for atleast 2-3 years , but searching again job in such short notice may question on my stability.
