Salary Discussions, Hike & Promotions

I have an offer of 10 LPA from Company A(WITCH). My Last working day is 2nd June. I am still giving interviews and might get better offers. Comapny A is really invested in my Joining and they are calling every week to confirm same and they also already shared credentials for the Client I will be working for.They waited 90 day for me and now I am in dilemma of what if I get better offer close to Last Working Day. How will I deal with it?

I mean, when did we start confusing being constantly online with being committed?

You reply to late night emails, pick up calls on weekends, skip family dinners — and guess what? No one’s giving you a medal for it. They’re just getting used to taking you for granted.

There’s a very thin line between being committed and just… complying out of fear. Fear of missing out. Fear of not being seen as a “team player.” Fear of losing your job maybe?

But let me say this —
Being available 24/7 isn’t a flex. It’s a red flag.
For you and your workplace.

If your company rewards burnout, glorifies long hours, and frowns when you set boundaries — they’re not valuing you. They’re using you.

Yeah I said it. Fight me

If you’re always available, that’s not dedication …that’s just straight up exploitation

Went to watch Raid 2 with my family yesterday. Movie time was 7 PM. I had a work meeting scheduled at 6… I thought it'll wrap up by 6:30. But nope it stretched and stretched 

I literally had to keep stepping out of the theatre during intervals to attend the call. My wife was super annoyed (and honestly, I don't blame her). She kept saying, “You knew this would happen, toh plan hi kyun kiya movie ka?” And I was just sitting there like… “Bas 30 mins ka kaam tha yaar.”

This is the sad part of corporate sometimes even your family time feels like it’s borrowed. Has anyone else faced something like this?

Just reached the office, and literally everywhere I look, people are in groups talking about the India-Pak war. Everyone's full of jazba, discussing what they saw on the news last night. The vibe here is giving me chills nobody's really in the mood to work. We are all just glued to updates, wondering what’s going to happen next.
