When i was growing up standard auto fares started at 10rs, veg puff was 5rs, maggi 5rs, petrol was 65rs, masal dosa was 35 and you could buy a 30x40 site and get a home constructed for 14L..... This is in banglore btw....you could live like a king with 50k pm. Now even my maid earns close to 40-45 pm

[intelligentredfish](username) Those days were something else. Unreal now. Back then, 50k/month actually meant you were doing really well. You could save, take the fam out, maybe even plan a vacation. Now, it just covers survival basics… and vanishes so fast, you don't even realize where it went , it’s wild how the value of money has shifted so much. Sometimes feels like we are running just to stay in the same place. Nostalgia hits hard with this one 🥺💭
