Current CTC 8lpa
Got Offer of 18lpa Fixed.

I am very confused the offer is as per market or not. When I got job invite on Naukri for the position i got the offer.

Years of experience mentioned 5 to 10 
Salary range: 20 to 30lpa

And during HR discussioni i missed this.
Could you please help me understand?

Help a B.Tech 2024 Fresher Land a Software Job – Seeking Opportunities & Advice

I recently resigned from my current company after working there for over 3 years. They countered with a 70% hike, which was quite generous, but I had already received better offers with over a 100% hike, so I respectfully declined. Unfortunately, that didn’t go down well.

They asked me to leave the same day I submitted my resignation, confiscated my laptop and revoked email access immediately. I wasn’t even given a chance to say goodbye to anyone—it all happened so abruptly, it was genuinely shocking.

Now, even though I’m no longer working or contributing, they still expect me to serve the full 60-day notice. I’m trying to negotiate that, because otherwise I’ll just be sitting at home for the next 30 days without work or pay.

It’s been a lot to process. I can’t help but wonder—does this happen to others too, or is it just me? Feeling pretty messed up right now.

I (32 y.o.) am a Fourth Engineer (MEO Class 4 motor) who generally sails on Foreign going VLCCs. I have a total of 5 years of sea time. Recently got married and it's getting hard to continue sailing.

I am looking for shore job opportunities but mostly getting ghosted or auto rejection. 4 interviews I gave resulted in 1 rejection and 3 ghosting. 1 interview resulted in selection but they were giving 6 LPA and have to relocate to Mumbai. 6 LPA to live in Mumbai is not possible with family so I rejected it.

I am looking for suggestions.I am looking for 10 LPA minimum. I am willing to relocate anywhere in india (As long as Salary accompanied is corresponding).

Where can I try for jobs? What posts accept my experience and license?

Day to Day Office

I'm a big introvert, so being around people for too long makes me super tired. All I want to do is read or watch something when I'm not working. I always thought being a computer person would be more of a me and my screens in a dark room kind of thing, you know? That's partly why I even studied this stuff!

Honestly, sometimes I just want to eat my sandwich in peace. My mom always told us not to talk while eating, like you might choke. Makes sense to me! So why's lunchtime this big talk fest?

And get this , I'm trying to eat healthier, smaller portions and stuff, right? And this one older guy at work always has something to say about my food. like, can't he just leave me alone to eat my little bit of lunch? I just wanna do my job and get my paycheck. I don't really care about chatting about politics or what everyone did on my food break.
