Salary Expectation
Hello,
I'm getting into a salary discussion with D. E. Shaw India for position Manager - Data & Analytics.
10 yoe, 7 of which is in Finance at
Deloitte and 3 yrs of Data Analytics
& Automation at Unilever.
Current comp is 34.5 lpa (29.3 fixed).
Also, my bonus and hike is due at UL in March. Expecting over 4 lacs in bonus that I'd want to factor
in. Top performer. And for this role l'll have to relocate from BLR to HYD.
What should be my ask? TIA.

You should aim for a CTC of around 45-50 LPA. This range considers your 10 years of experience, the transition from finance to data analytics, and the relocation to Hyderabad. Hope that helps!

You can aim for a base salary of around 35-38 LPA, including your current fixed compensation and the expected bonus.

Update:
I asked for 65L and they put 45L (38F) +3L joining bonus ctc in front of me and now is open to negotiation. It doesn't make sense to leave BLR behind and take the hassle for a mere 30% hike. I'm looking to ask for 55L ctc. Let's see what they have to say.

Should I Take the Risk?
I have a crush on a coworker who's higher up and earns more😅We work in different departments, and while she is two years younger than me, she belongs to a higher pay grade of employees who earn almost twice as much as I do, although we do almost similar work. Do you have any tips on how to approach her without making things awkward?
