Switch to HCL or Stay in CTS?
I'm presently working with Cognizant at a package of 5.08 LPA remotely with almost 4 yrs of experience in Service Desk.Recently I've received an offer from HCL as a Senior Analyst at a package of 7.2 LPA in Service desk domain but it would be 5 days work from office .
I feel that the package is a bit low in HCL as I would be working from the office all days of the week. And also I might be due for promotion in Cognizant in March 2025 which might raise my package to 7 LPA
There's also a 12 month service-bond agreement with HCL
Kindly advice on what I'm supposed to do
Thank You

Work-from-office for just 2L more? That’s a tough call! Do you see long-term growth at HCL, or is Cognizant a better bet?

An Analyst
If CTS might promote you in March, would it be worth waiting a few months? Or is HCL offering better future prospects?

Are there additional perks at HCL (bonuses, skill development, etc.) that could make up for the work-from-office requirement?

I would suggest holding off and waiting for the right opportunity. If you're feeling uncertain, it's best not to proceed. The right time will come, and your current company will recognize your value. Once you secure that promotion, then it will be a good time to consider exploring new opportunities.

No point to jump organizations when your current organization would match the hike. While working from home at Cognizant, you are saving time and money even. Signing a 12-month service-bond with HCL doesn't make sense as you will get trapped if you wish to leave. In any case, there is a huge debate going on for a 3-month notice period even.

Don't join HCL, I wasted my 3 years. They are not giving any hike and work hours is 14-15 hours including weekends (without pay). Very bad management

Take offer from HCL, put papers, shop arround, hopefully you will reach around 10-12 lpa by end of your notice period.
