TRYING TO GET INTO MY DREAM OF A JOB
Hey Everyone,
I know that lots of people here are DATA/BUSINESS analyst. I am a Service Desk Analyst (Only in name) providing L1 support, want to change myself in a data analyst. I have a good grasp at Ms Excel (VBA and macros) and I am learning SQL and Power BI. As most of you are in the jobs right now. Can you guys help me in what more to do and what type of projects should I add in my portfolio to make it better. You guys know the market needs. Just want to know that so I can creat my way into it.

Respect for being this honest 🙌 The fact that you're already hands-on with Excel + learning SQL & Power BI shows you're on the right track

[an operations executive](username) thank you for your words. Just need the right direction as I will be a fresher in the core IT. I would really appreciate it if you will let me know how to get into this.

Make a dynamic dashboard using VBA to track expenses. Then migrate it to Power BI. Will show growth

Also explore storytelling bhai companies care a lot about how you explain insights, not just how fancy your charts are.

[faithfuldhokla](username) thank you. I will surely look into that my storytelling is good enough for the interviewer.
