Interview Tips & Stories

Spent nights prepping for an ML Engineer role interview with a US retail firm expanding in Bangalore, only to be evaluated by a third-party QA with no data background. It's disheartening to see flawed hiring setups where effort meets unfair assessment. If you're not serious about hiring fairly, please don’t proceed. A genuine rejection is better than false hope. Respect candidates' time and effort. When you are literally using ai tools to generate questions and evaluate the candidates, you can't expect our answers to be same as the answer given by the ai tools. 🥺

Don’t take flawed evaluations personally.
They have assessed unfairly, remember it reflects their system, not your skills.

this hurts. putting in all that prep just to be judged by someone who doesn’t even get the role? been there. they need to realise interviews aren’t checkboxes. they’re people.

This is happening because most hiring hRs are not trained in specific domain hiring, so they rely on AI tools. It’ is common everywhere since hiring IT or tech savvy HR professionals is expensive and now companies prefer basic skilled hrs and equip them with AI for hiring tech people, unfair but true
