The salary is decent, but there's a lot of benefits that you could count as bonus. There's also an abundance of certification courses, programmes and events to expand your knowledge within your field, and soft skills as a consultant. Capgemini is all about learning. If you're not satisfied with the customer, you likely have a chance to either switch teams or project. As an employee, you get a lot of freedom to do your work. This goes hand-in-hand with the new memo that everybody is their own leader. Job security is also excellent, in that Capgemini has a lot of tolerance for employees who fall behind. I've never seen anyone get fired - rather they always want to hire more people. If you complete a certification or a course, you get appraisal in your office; colleagues and leaders will congratulate you.

I agree with most other review that the biggest problem is middle-managment. That is, a lot of managers act unprofessional, pushy and sometimes abusive. They also like to play favorites. Capgemini doesn't really do anything with this issue, because I think they're kind of dependent on them to manage all the thousands of offices and departments. For example, I wanted to se certain career goals through the "MyPath" programme. But instead of respecting my goals, my manager added more goals I never wanted and weighted them differently than what I did. So they should really rename it to "TheirPath". I've also experienced managers treat me unfairly compared to other team members (probably because they didn't like me), a manager bragging about the money they made from recruitment, aggressive/snappy behavior and lots more. They also never respect work-life boundaries. It doesn't matter if you do an outstanding job for the customer, if you don't do what they ask you to do outside work hours you might as well quit the job. If you just have normal 9-5 days they will throw things at you like taking a certification, host events, move tables/chairs etc. all outside work hours - even though none of this is mentioned in the contract (yes, I did contact a lawyer to double check that). I also agree that there's a lot of micromanagment, they always try to correct everything about you that they don't like. A sort of narcissistic "I can change him/her" attitude. The office cultures I've seen is also kind of bad, there's always competition between employees even during lunch breaks. Toxic comments and bad treatment towards each other instead of building each other up, and almost nobody practice the seven core Capgemini values.
