APS institute follows the motto -'Always Be A Learner'. It gives me immense pride that I've always been a part of Army school, first as a student and now as a Science teacher. Working in APS provides you skill development and helps in your growth. You get a alot of opportunities and responsibilities which enhances your thinking power as well as your personality. You work with the best teachers of the nation as they'd appointed after qualifying alot of exams and interviewing sessions. So, you definitely learn much working with them. Campus is always the best airy, prompt, full of greenry, clean and disciplined because it's Army !!
Compensation is decent, but one need to be CSB qualified. Until you are not CSB qualified you work on adhoc basis which means no increment, no pf and no salary of summer vacations. Adhoc time period is only for one year then again next year you've to appear for written exam and interview conducted by the school. Even if you are CSB qualified, you are hired only for 3 years after that again you have to appear for the interview in your region. Major disadvantage is qualifying CSB doesn't give assurity for permanent job, it's only school's personal affair.
I'm TGT science in APS, Kota. I'm a Class Teacher, a house warden and Eco-club incharge.
I am khushbu. As a teacher at Army Public School...i started my journey in 2007..
Then I worked as a PGT Computer Science in five Army Public School..including Army Public School Mumbai..Army public school Pathankot ..Army public school..Panagarh..Army public school Delhi..it was a great exposure to work with teacher of army school .. I learnt many things about about Cbse curriculum..work pressure..as a PGT..
Army Public School ..conduct ..an ..All India Test for recruitment of teacher..the level of exam is quite tough....i cleared that entrance with 65% marks..then interview process..then got a job.
But after sometime
.i realise that..now I have to update my skills..and I wish to. Join a ..software company..then last year I appeared for..CDAC entrance..and I cleared that entrance in first attempt..
Now I wish ..i could have consider as a good programmer.
Wish me for my bright future.
Regards to all naukari team members..
Work pressure is high, your not allowed to take leave even for genuine reasons.too much of politics in work environment. If a government holiday is given it is compensated by deducting a holiday. coordinators have no sense of responsibility and portray a person wrongly to the higher authority. Too much of favouritism. Work satisfaction is shown on basis of which person has done the work. No training guidance provide for freshers. Excessive and repetitive work give lack of time for oneself. Not allowed to talk to others. Not allowed to work independently or sit together even in free time. You are always pressurised and looked down upon. Not allowed to dress-up as you wish. Every now and then a new rule is created which differs from person to person
My work is generall hectic substitution without fail.Question paper's have to be set for assessments and exam's. Detailed Lesson plans have to be written. To fill log book, anactodal book, class rejester, consolidated mark sheets
Salary and appraisal is good, a fresher gets good exposure and opportunities to learn and develop skill. Work culture in the school and work life balance is above average as compared to the private schools. There is transparency in the deduction of PF, Salary and leave facilities.Training part is surely one of the best and faculty gets the opportunity to work using latest technology. I am glad that I am a part of the team and my work has been recognised and appreciated.
Selection procedure is not upto the mark as inspite of rigourous interviews and a number of written tests, not much emphasis is given on the communication skills of the freshers, classroom teaching and its effectiveness, as a result the freshers who join are not able to impart quality education to the children. Orientation of the teachers is another aspect which needs to be taken care of as new teachers often are not familiar with Army school's culture. There is less transparency in time table schedules.
The children come from very wide spectrum , great learning for the educators , helps you to learn to build consensus because of the huge volume of children and staff ...over all the system empowers you and cultivars quality of leadership and lays down a platform for your ultimate growth...gives you a vision. Also helps you to manage people , data and processes because of its majestic strength.
Travel distance too much from home
As a teacher of grade 11 and 12 there is a constant growth n learning.. also being incharge of few clubs keeps me excited along with being a CT keeps me on my toes.👍
Staffs are very friendly and supporting. The biggest thing I will never forget in my life that they were very caring when I met the accident and was not able deliver my service for few months.
I am not satisfied with the salary structure of the school. Payment should be according to type of work people do in the school.
Monitoring Digital Class Rooms, Assisting teachers in day to day teaching learning process, Computer lab maintenance, Network maintenance, teach in classes till 10+2 (Comp Sc) if requirement arises, etc
As an employee i just want to say that APS Tezpur is one of best academic institutes in Assam. It's working environment is quite similar to working in any government organization & colleagues are very decent & helpful including our honourable Principal mam Mrs Banani Hazarika is very polite & generous. But one thing Be aware of its office staff.I have never seen such hopeless & narrow personalities ever in my life. Overall outoff 10,i will give 9.
It was amzaing to have been a part of such a prosperous institution. Working in Army Public School,Shankar vihar was such a great learning experience the work environment is great, much focused in overall development of childern as well as teachers...staff is very cooperative .
A times it looks like much focus is on co-curricular activities rather then academics as various events use to take place in an academic year. Which affects children academic performance.
Exciting have worked in different department as a trainee
Working in Army Public School (as far as job satisfaction and team spirit is concerned) is good. Working environment is also very good.
Job security is an issue as there is no proper policy of confirmation of staff selected through LSB. Even if you have scored good in CSB you are not sure of getting any advantage of serving them. They try to hire candidates in a lower catagory.
It was really a marvellous experience. One of the best places for teacher's grooming with a moderate career.
In teaching job teaching part is ok but here some clerical work is also done by the teachers. By the name of Army people think that it is government but it is not. Students are average but give respect to teachers .
A lot of partiality among students as well as teachers.
No recognition of hard work only people who do buttering are only recognize.
A lot of mental harassment
