The company is good when you consider the salary and benefits but as said, all that shines is not gold.

Dislikes

Everything that shines is not gold. The culture, politics, work life balance, ill defined processes, rigidity to change, lack of SOPs, non empathetic leadership, ill trained team leaders is a major issue especially in finance. Moreover the company has some long termed employees who command even above the leadership though being junior and make it difficult for new employees to settle down. Overall the culture, work life balance and job security are pathetic which ultimately makes it impossible for you to enjoy the financial benefits they offer. Bain by far has one of the best infrastructures and spends on employee perks like reimbursements, trips, parties, free cafeteria, etc. Also, appraisals are really good. All in all when it comes to money and spending on employees it is amazing.

Dislikes

Shrouded below the amazing perks and infrastructure is the fact that work life balance is pretty bad. There is a strong resistance to change and the systems followed are pretty primitive. In an already packed working day if you somehow take a leave it simply will add equal hours in the next day when you come back to work, dragging your day way beyond the normal hours for the next few days to come. This will significantly hamper your performance and personal life. I guess they really need to bump up the workforce first without increasing the workload.
