CenturyLink India, What should we say about the company. I can say dont join the company when they are not even care about their CEO & Directors how can they will care about normal employee. Paying worse than any other company, HRs are puppet specially they recruited freshers in HR department who do not know anything even what they are speaking .False commitment to the employees. Old employee just working there but no respect for old employees. HR says salary decision come from Manager and Manager says It HR decision. Below average salary , No Hike, No onsite, HR hide the few things even if you ask Valid questions too. Finally if you want to play with your future than Join CenturyLink but if you want to save and enjoy your future than stay away from IT.

Dislikes

Salary, HR management, No Hike, talks so many things but when resource ask anything than answer is "we are working on it".

There is nothing that I like about this company except very few good people.

Dislikes

Extreme partiality in the teams. No help and support when you are in need. Bad facilities and food which might give you food poisoning. Nobody would ever come to help even if you are harassed mentally and physically, not even the HRs and managers. You will always be under radar and would be pointed out even if your performance is good. There is no scope for good work because people are always more interested in your personal life. There are about a thousand more points I can say. At last, one more thing to add, this is the most terrible place to work in. Never ever even think of looking at this company while travelling in Outer Ring Road.

Depending on the project, you get room to manage personal growth through learning during office hours, along with managing delivering work. Facilities are good (better than Indian IT companies)

Dislikes

If you are not driven on your own, you can get lost in mundane daily work with no new learnings - company does not have a push policy with employees

Work

CenturyLink India has projects on many technologies ranging from mainframe to analytics. I work with the analytics services team, got lucky with a good customer to work with and learnt immensely over the past one year

Enough time to work for yourself. Personnel development and family work

Dislikes

Top management is out of market from many years. Organization is investing huge money on better process and follow better coding etiquette but still has no value at base level. Indian management needs technical revolution. It is seriously needs to be improved.

Work

Better work life balance. Never hectic and most importantly nothing is mission critical here.

They pay well.

Dislikes

If you are not a Yes man, there isn't much hope for you in this organization. Merit will take you nowhere here, obsequiousness will. Tenure is all that counts; you can get away with mediocre performance, as long as you can swallow your pride and be a lickspittle.

Work

Work can get pretty boring and monotonous, with risk-averse oldies at the top rungs. Thinking out of the box is not appreciated. Little or no autonomy provided, approvals are required for the for the most insignificant of things.

I like the work environment and learning opportunities within the company. We will have a great work-life balance which is most important. The team which i was part of was really amazing. I had attended so many trainnings which i would like to go. There was a great scope of developing your skills and will get enough time to do our work. There is no work pressure.

Dislikes

The only thing i don't like about century link is the career growth. It will take so much time to get a promotion.

just work life balance.

Dislikes

CTLI hires a good number of mediocre employees who can't even code "Hello World" with their 2+ year of work experience. This is quite ironic when they make the campus selection process form Tier-1 college to be qualitative.
Also, there is shameful regionalism here. People speak in their local languages sitting in an MNC. The pay is pathetic. Zilch opportunities to learn.
