Flexible with timing, management would respect employees when they spoke

Dislikes

It might vary team to team. The work wasn't satisfactory & lot of unfair expectations from manager. Manager listened less to team members & always favoured management. There was no good hikes even after asking multiple times. The salary isn't upto market standards.

Work life balance is good. Team-mates are collaborative and supportive. They provide health insurance up to 4 lakhs for the employee and his/her family. They also have option to top-up the insurance with additional premium. They also have option to add parents in the health insurance.

Dislikes

I was assigned to a bad project where my skill-set was not aligned. In the project they were neither using Spring nor Angular / React. They were using some legacy UI tool called Liss-tool.

Top level manangment behave like cheaters .I worked total 6 years .Last year I got an offer of 28 LPA ,I put down my papaers ,later CGI agreed to offer 26L .So withdeawn my papers .After withdrawn they made it 22.65 L and they told market situvation is not good.The heigher manangment grown by eating others compensations

You won't feel like working for an IT company rather you will feel like you are working for a Marketing company. Always there will be pressure to complete the things, they won't consider the work life balance, 12 hours a day you need to work 365days in a year. Most of the people working in CGI are 10+years in same company so they don't respect you, they don't have any work culture. Life at CGI is really good in learning from the projects, other technical training that is provided by vendors, supporting team members and managers, motivation by managers for each employee and equally respected work culture.

When ever you are in bench they will give 45 days time for another project after this u didn't get they will give 2-3 weeks still u didn't got project u will be separate from company. Whatever technology u r working on that related project not there they don't give chance to change other domains.

Internal politics People who are from long time will upskill they are simply in retirement phase. Early release is not possible event if you don't have dependency. Will not compensate the leave for early release. No new learning.

Good work life balance, Decent package with company shares allotment. Overall feels satisfactory.

My immediate reporting manager tried to extend my notice period without my awareness, just because of client request. Later escalated this to HR and sorted. Not sure about other projects, in my project - Hike and Promotion is not based on performance or fullfilling our goal setting.

Its over all a good company where they provide lot of training facilities and free dinner everyday. Most of the projects are based out of Canada so members working from India has to di night shift.

Dislikes

Management should give privilege's to change of project if member is not interested and should remove compulsion to work 24 months in given project to get eligibility for change in project at least for member who is working in your organization for more then 3 years.

Dislikes

No proper recognition. They don’t even pay market standard for the senior people but new joiners will get more salary while coming in while experienced inside the company get less. Its good to work for a standard 2 yrs then move on.
