Work life balance is ok. Not great. They are much backwards in technology if you look them from competitor standpoint like Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet etc.

No one listens to you if you are talking something which is in line with industry. Be prepared to spend all your meetings for internal conversations only. Account team holds the fort and if you are not in account team, it's just waste of career. No proper training for experienced folks (atleast never happened with me). Old timers inthe company will drag you down if you talk something which is innovative and have seen in other competitors. It's just surviving on its brand value that it has created....Read More

1. No work at all, so no learning. 2. Company is not software company, so if you are into hardware, networking and security, that's good. But if you are into cloud, software, IaaS please avoid this company, it can screw up your overall technical expertise. Since they don't have any software related work. 3. Leadership will never settle down here as a result of which you will experience org changes thrice in a year. And you will be moved to different orgs with no technical benefit at all. Ample of learning opportunity, nice campus

It used to be a great company, but now they are doing constant Layoffs which has affected morale of the engineers. They are not solving any real-world problems now, sales, marketing and HR folks have taken over this Tech Giant. Cisco doesn't have tech in its DNA anymore. I have folks sitting on same designation for 7-8 years.
