HSBC offer

I have been selected as Senior Software Engineer in HSBC. Experience of 7 years in Mainframe domain they are just giving me hike of 2lpa in CTC which comes to 16.5 and variable pay of around 1.5 which will be not part of CTC. Should i take this offer and search for other offers? Worst case would be I have to join Hsbc (if I don't get any other offer and neither my current company tries to retain me).
