I had a good meeting a lot of people on board the ship, guest and colleagues,happy to be making the world cruise thrice and yes I managed my work and life pretty well.I certainly had scope for further development but age was catching up and so I had to quit.

Dislikes

Compensation was decent but growth was slow.

Work Details

I had a fairly good relationship with every one on board and found pressure at work.It has been a great journey for me and I don't regret it.

only good to enter the cruise industry

Dislikes

They don't even care if the Crew gets their breaks on time. They dont follow the laws. They make you work for long hours(13-14) and only pay you for 11 hours and amend the clock-in/clock-out timings.

Its a very good experience to working with costa cruise line, I'm very fortunate to get selected for the job because it's one the the top cruising company in europe, the working environment is good and they take care of there employees. It's good company to work with.

Dislikes

Salary is little low and career growth is not good as it's basically based on italian and Spanish speaking clients so you have to learn atleast italian to get growth faster.

The job as a waiter is quite different according to land but it's interesting work load is too much at the starting but you will be habitual to that as time pass . At first it is very difficult to get collaborated with the ship life
