Work culture is very bad. Growth and promotion is arbitrary. Same applies to remuneration as well. People are insecure and thus very bad working environment. Can't challenge basic rules.

People from top management know you by your name.
People feel unsecured about their jobs. They don't pass on the process knowledge to the new comers. They think new comers will outperform the old employees. New comers feel frustrated 🥴

The culture of the organisation is definitely good but your work environment will be defined by your manager and the team.
Unfortunately, the project in which I was working had very very bad culture. I am not blaming the entire organisation for this but the manager only. Had a very disgraceful working experience. Such employees are the reason that brought bad name and lead to collapse of the brand.

Good work-life balance and freedom to use and expand your knowledge.
Average compensation growth and poor bonus is paid even if you peform great. Since now its merged to UBS, all the applications will be decommissioned and hence there is no career growth anymore.

Worked there for 2 years, don't like a single thing about that place.
Worst team culture. They expect you to work 9-9, and even on the weekends. No appreciation for work and less than 5% yearly increment. The Fixed Income team in particular is terrible. The work is also not good. Attrition rate is very high, yet they do nothing about it. The people at the top take all the budget for their own benefit. If you get less paying job somewhere else, please take that. Better to have peace of mind. This job literally gave me nightmares....Read More

It’s an amazing company to work with and one of my best employers in the last 14years. The work culture is amazing and one gets a very good work life balance. You are given your work and you are expected to work as per the deadlines but never will there be a micro management. The additional benefits apart from the salary are amazing, be it cab pick drop from your home, or 40k medical benefits over and above the salary, that includes dental treatment as well which isn’t covered at most places....Read More
The only thing I dislike about CS is that it allowed itself to be acquired by UBS

The culture at credit suisse is something that I liked a lot. You are pushed to be open and speak up your mind. people are collaborative and helpful
The base level employees do not receive much opportunities to showcase their talent.

Credit Suisse don’t exist any more. Since the merger with UBS, now it is UBS. My review is based on my tenure with Credit Suisse Pune for about 3 years until the merger. Even though it was the worst phase of credit suisse history, this was a great place to work. Benifits, compensation, work and company culture were always top of the line. The company did suffer financial and reputation loss since Archegos Capital collapse and closure of prime business and other events that kept the company in negative news. All that lead to restructuring and head count cut was on cards. Still they protected the full time employees to the best they can. Although I and few from my team left voluntarily to avoid risks, no one from my immediate team or knows was laid off from Pune. The directors were confident that they will find suitable roles and they actually did align people to relevant opportunities. I spent just 3 years in credit suisse and I got very attached to my work and my team. Even though I still work for another major global financial company with great culture, nothing beats credit suisse’s work culture and people. The HRs made sure that employee rights were never tossed in the air and leadership made sure that people get good work. Most team mates were there for an average of 8-10 years or longer duration. I fee only the relatively new joiners like me left the company. Anyways now that the entire credit suisse leadership is with UBS I hope UBS can match up the standards set by CS, perhaps they may even raise the bar. I hope to join them back some day....Read More
Credit suisse merged to UBS so it makes me skeptical on how much of CS work culture will be retained. Will they care for employees as much as credit suisse did? I don’t know. There was nothing to dislike about credit suisse.
Good HR policies in terms of flexibility, leave, work from home etc. Good culture, no micro management etc.
Bureaucratic work culture. Very poor and legacy infrastructure. Learning and skill development is very poor. Overall work satisfaction is very low. Work is mostly very monotonous, repetitive, manual and operational.
