Goodies every now and then to keep you engaged. Pretty much HR stuff. They are good at these things.

The director level has become a joke right now. Plenty of favouritism, micromanagement and so on. Hard working individuals are sidelines and very immature people get promoted purely based on the closeness to this layer. Especially the backend directors have no direction whatsoever, they do what they like reigning superiority and putting their heads where it's not required. Micromanagement is rampant across. EMs and SDE3s have pretty much surrendered to this tyranny. This layer will not hesitate even for a moment to throw you under the bus the first instance something goes wrong and just talk about culture of ownership. Too much stressful. The new management has spoilt the culture altogether. Used to be an excellent company. Now, it's just forced processes and unnecessary pressure on developers. On top of that, they don't fire, but tighten the book so that you resign by yourself.

Perks - International Offsites (target based now), regular gifts on occassions (Diwali/IPL/NY), Good Salaries but that comes with a lot of pressure and internal politics(so not sure if that's a perk). You'll find some good and knowledgable friends to talk to.

- Too much internal politics. Management sucks at bringing good ideas to the table. - Only people close to the management are promoted and given priority in chalking the roadmap of the entire team. - No knowledge transfers within the team. Only person working on the product will have the end to end knowledge about the product. So, basically there's no camaraderie between people after work hours. Agin it depends on team to team. But, mostly 70% of the teams have the same approach. - No defined working hours. You can get a call at 11pm or maybe 7am(automated Opsgenie calls for alerts not even set by your team). The tech is really haywire and most of the times, code quality is compromised viz a viz the velocity of delivery....Read More
