The company is open to innovation and readily adopts latest Technology. I was part of a project with 500+ resources both onshore and offshore together. The scope for learning here in this project and in this company is really good and high. The mentoring from seniors and managers is also too good and support from Peers is really high. There are good enough chances for Onsite opportunities, if the employee is capable of converting his/her Visa at US Embassy. There are numerous projects with different verticals and number of accounts. So, the lateral opportunities if anyone wants to shift between domains is also good, provided one clears the Internal interviews.

Dislikes

Though we gain better knowledge working here, there were no hikes/ compensation increments here from past two years(Which was due to CSC & HPE Merger). As a result there are high chances of employee demotivation. Also, the intangible growth in career ladder is kept hold until the merger is complete in India. Recent changes in management, though aware of all these happenings, couldn't do anything. And also.. there is poor work life balance here. The company expects, an employee to work for more than 12hrs a day,but no overtime compensation is provided for that and also an employee is expected to be available even on Weekends and Holidays, which actually impacts one's personal life. Other than, Work-life balance and Compensation increase, this company is simply awesome to work with. A happy go environment,with motivating and inspiring managers.

It's a new company but looks like just another IT services company. It's a company formed by merger of two big established companies so future looks very promising but nothing can be told at the moment.

Dislikes

Company was formed by the merger of HPE Enterprise service division and CSC corporation merger on April 2017. With that said, you cannot review the company and its policies as of now because it is still having a mixed culture of HPE and CSC. A review can be done maybe after 2 years.

But one thing is for sure, NEVER EVER join the US Health care projects in DXC. You will get to see WORST kind of management with pathetically dumb witted managers and people.
The company has inherited one culture from HPE : (BOOT LICKING is the only way to SUCCEED). I may not apply to entire company but US health care projects stinks.

Also, it is very hard to determine HR's role in this company, they are invisible dark matters of this organisation (Inherited this culture from HPE). Maybe in next 1-2 years things will change(Hopefully).

NO proper Portal. There is no central place where you can get everything. There is portal for every other thing but all are scattered here and there(Very frustrating).

It was a good experience working with DXC . Work culture is good there. Trainers were always there to help.

Dislikes

As a fresher I got a good compensation, but career opportunities and growth is very slow. In fact no salary hike for a long time . Managers don't have value of there subordinates. Managers yell and scream on floor , As a result I have to face emotional trauma and mental harassment number of times in office. They wanted to show monopoly , absence of upper management.Some times I was forced to extend my shift despite my health was not good and had already finished the work required for the day.At the time of appraisal, rating is closed as per the choice of manager not by the evaluation of work done . Managers did not sort out conflict between team members , in fact they encourage and provoke there disputes.Complains are ignored by upper management and HR.

insurance coverage, beneficiary update and delete ,name change etc as per the request .

Job Security, Career Growth, Appraisal, Internal Politics, No new learning- all legacy environment. Customers not happy with Support culture which is created. No customer data privacy. Failed to keep promise and commitments at both ends. Except few managers all having good time with company (more than 10 -17 Yrs) where they are still working on legacy standards without having domain knowledge they are managing their domains and which creates embrace situation in front of customers, No team management. customer loosing their faith from DXC and so the reason is DXC do not have much projects left with them which had put them in a pressure to do new mergers. Can you believe DXC have done 8 to 10 mergers in a year and Employees had beard the cost for that by loosing their jobs. DXC dos not care for their Employee its completely a US culture. if anyone looking forward for DXC from career prospective my suggestion better discuss with Ex-staff who had already worked their may be they can save you from doing the same mistake what they done earlier.

Top level Management wants employee(s) to keep learning and keep moving. This has made me as an Individual a very dynamic person. Not afraid of any changes, and continuously looking for area of improvement.

DXC is land of opportunities. People who are working with DXC must follow excellent policy/ies in place. No need to do thing differently it one has not analysed the current situation.

I am glad to be part of it.

Dislikes

Nothing about DXC. Certain employees who have habit of getting salary per month without working must be out of the organization as earliest. Must include those as well who works with in their comfort zone and not keeping good communication with all stakeholders. They can keep their PMP certificate or any other certification with them, once they die, their family members will sell it to scrap dealer. I wish Government to take serious steps to close down any n every institute issuing certificates to ill mannered and non sense people.

Dislikes

HR of the company is involved in hiding facts from candidates at the time of recruitment. The target variable pay which is shown as part of CTC in the offer letter, is actually the Retention bonus that is payable only to top performing employees with a clause that it Will be taken back completely if employees leave within 12 months from the date of payment. Moreover, due to company's bad performance during last few years, this amount is paid at just 60% of the target amount shown in offer letter even to top performers and just 25% to second best performers. Sounds weird!! Even if you're giving your best, you are not eligible to get 100% bonus even.
Moreover converting variable pay into retention bonus without informing employee at the time of joining and requiring him to sign a 1 year bond after annual performance appraisal is contractually illegal and seriously inhumane. It's like asking someone we will take back your past salary if you leave within some time.

Pain point is work culture changed from CSC to DXC. Forced to do automation for every task for every senior, whether it is possible or not. Sr. has to mentor and train the technical things to Jr.'s, but our super Sr.'s will share their knowledge or mentor to us. Which simply creates the insecurity of job. Terrible thing is daily status call to say about new automation on daily basis. Pathetic is about pressuring the Sr.s and putting them in list (pink slip). My personal pathetic and terrible experience is , after serving 8yrs of my service, i didn't recognized even to have HR interview about my exit. Where i hold the H1B visa from csc. I have upgraded my skills from oracle to SAP Basis with HANA. Right now am working as SAP HANA Consultant specialist as Disaster Recovery build and maintenance

2 things are very poor with DXC. One, company is NOT identified any new projects while merger was happened with HPE. This lead me to come out of the company after 7 years of tenure with other offer other state of india. If company could have identify some new projects/accounts then people like me could have stay back with the company for more years. But that didn't happen :-(
The other one, promotion will get delay even when a resource eligible for it. Apart from these 2 important things company is doing good. If I get a call again from DXC with NEW PROJECTS then I will join the family again. Still i like DXC because its a stepping stone in my life and I draw lot of memories from it. In future these memories will be written in my history.

Learning - A dxc University is there in which u can log on and learn at your own. Other than this you can register for monthly virtual courses arranged by learning department.
Work life balance totally depends on project.

Working in DXC is like working in an Indian company, there is not behaving as an MNC.work culture is pathetic, without notice layoff in one day based on cost cutting cycle, too much of internal politics, people are not welcoming/accepting the change/ideas, they are not spending on branding and employee engagement activities, promotions we're once in 4-5 years that was also based on politics and performance, hikes we're once in 2-3 years. No work from home. No team outings.
