The company is open for innovation and adopts latest technology and trends to stand out in the market which is why I joined this company. I m glad that i have been working with such a team that is high-quality oriented understands the concept and the purpose of performing the particular tasks and try to figure out every time how it's going to effect the company overall. I worked with the US based clients. Another plus point is that you get an opportunity to meet different people from different cultural background so it helps in building up confidence in maintaining a good balance in that work environment. You understand different prospective. I like the employee re-hire policy there. Also the fact that they always appreciate employees efforts and hard work by rewarding them (both the internal team and the onshore team).

Dislikes

Compensation is decent although but during busy seasons had to work really late and need to get on the calls every evening as per the onshore time. I do receive appreciation from the onshore as well as internal senior every week but it mostly go unnoticed during my mid-year appraisals. sometimes i had worked with seniors who were not into making a fresher understand what he/she is doing and guide instead they were more into just finishing up the task and get back to their own things. sometimes it made me realized that the work is not doing or bringing out best in me.

Forget about work life balance if you decided to work for EY.
Manager and above want every thing in minuet, Your just robot to do what they want
They will take flesh out of you ,They want starts to brought to earth.
rules are there to teach others, not to follow

as i have heard that EY is really a good brand before working it was absolutely true after experienced it working with the company.awesome work environment, time to time activities etc.

my name is jitender kapoor.my ID is IN010M33298.i worked with this company from 21st march 2016 to 18th March 2107. my own team manager Sanjay Kansara is very cooperative, my friends, everything but the real problem is with service delivery team assistant manager (Saachi Jain). she was really a pathetic lady i have ever worked in my job life. she doesn't have the normal etiquette that how to maintain the environment in the team and how to talk with teammates.just because of her bad attitude so many people had to resign, the job. even i was forced to resigned and i did it because i cant take too much of pressure. i worked late till night at home for company but didn't get praised by anyone.i complained of Saachi Jain in the HR department even not me, so many people of her team has have complaint but no action has have been taken against her because she is the relative of Manish singhal senior personality working with EY since last 8 years. and now she got promoted as a manger in XBRL team. i would request you to take immediate action regarding Saachi Jain.so that in EY no other person has have to resign just because her. work enviornment is overall good.but when you are not getting any motivation from your service delivery. all is just useless of an employee. Thats it .

The teammates are very learned. They are also knowledgeable and helpful when approached. The career growth is immense. If audit is something that you think is your call then you can see yourself working across shores, across cultures. There is no end to opportunities that come your way. The culture is very professional. EY is not a startup of course so there are a lot of rules which are understandable given the professional services we deliver. There is a lot of learning provided that the person is curious and shows interest in drilling more on a subject.

Dislikes

The work-life balance is not given a lot of importance. There are months when the work pressure is too much to handle. We work for 12 hours a day. This is specific to Audit. Also, you have to be really good with your networking skills in order to make yourself visible. Visibilty is something that is held high and you'll be hunt down of you just want to sit at your desk all day and not interact with people around.
There are a very few office parties. Literally two in a year which are EY sponsored, if I talk about EY GDS. Sometimes at associate level, the nature of work might get quite clerical and repetitive but that sure does improve if you show dedication and the will to learn.

The Operations specialist is a functional support role. People not interested in core technical support can opt for this role. The team I am in currently is a mix of different kind of people and not many are happy with their jobs or the immediate management. However, you do have good people and is fun if you find your match. Career growth withing the team is almost nill as we have too many leads and they are all stuck at the same lot for years. Can't be sure of the job security as the team might or might not be outsourced. Jan to April is the tax busy season and you will be piled with lots of work and life will.be hectic. The pressure can get to you sometimes. No travel involved. I understand there is enough politics going on within the team. I would suggest to stay away from the role and look for better opportunities. But if you do join then you can move internally within EY to find a role suitable for you and the policy is very good. You just need to complete one year.

Dislikes

Compensation shouldn't be an area of concern as the trend of handsome pay packages will go down globally. We have to become more utilized and efficient in order to sustain in this ever changing digital global mindset. Salary hike will go towards negligible amounts in years to come and the one who possesses great in-demand skills should be able to survive. It is with all global organizations and not just with EY. But not to forget, the one who works hard will get good remuneration benefits too. So the idea is to stick to an organization like EY and give a direction to your career.

A rotten organization with no work ethics, there is nothing is to be liked about EY GDS Gurgaon

Dislikes

Your life will be miserable while working here. There is a well thought plan laid by the Senior Management where they would harness everything good you have got and will then start humiliating you about the things which hardly even matters. These people will make sure to pressurize you to an extent you'll finally broke and they will then frame charges against you. If you are good with boot licking you have got the bright prospects here but if you want to work here purely on merit, they don't need it. It is one of the worst organization culture you can think of. Be aware they are hunting for new resources every time and will catch you in their evil nets by showing so called BIG 4 branding, please do not fall for it, it's a trap. It's a group of 8 people stays as is in upper management and rest all junior staff changes every year ( Except Boot lickers and charming girls)

The company is the best place to work as per various surveys and has great work and life balance. The company do promote innovation and exhibits potential employees with awards and achievements during the work journey. Career growth is steady with a cycle of Oct - Sept cycle. It does evolve Open door policy with ease to talk to leadership at any given time.

Dislikes

The people around has to be little more engaged with other employees and have more connected relationship than doing favoritism. Managers should also promote best work culture for the company leaving behind past companies work cultures that would affect employees mindset towards teams.

In a consultation field, EY promotes more Onsite - Off shore model approach with work coming from various Onsite teams and we at EY Advisory help them achieve their dream implementation projects.

The company (EY GDS) tries to build a global culture in line with its global entities and they are trying it hard. They certainly have a well defined vision and policy and they make efforts to get there. Lot of cultural and off work party opportunities if thats what you are looking for. You need to be better at your social skills more than your work ethics and job responsibilities. You are lucky if you get assigned on with global teams.

Dislikes

Your experience at the firm hugely depends upon the team that you are put into. GDS India lacks career and growth opportunities as they are trying to set up cost effective centers outside India. Many of the deserving candidates are stuck on the same role with no impressive learning curve. The leadership can do little when it comes to outplay the team politics that Senior managers and Team leads play out.

Politics is too much in the firm. Leadership do not take stand against right people. They just want to ignore things and move on. Saying it on my personal experience. Manager and above people comment on your families personal things they don’t understand that it can hurt feelings of the individual person. Above managers and top management people ignore these things intentionally.

When it comes to appraisal they bluntly say no after insisting too much they will give you very less percentage appraisals asking for on- role positions they will say what u will do it’s better you should stay on fixed term employment (it means on contractual position) so that whenever they want they can throw you out of the firm. Politics is at another level if you are a hard worker and your engagement partner is smart enough he will take all the credit and because of that u will lack in many aspects in the firm. So be aware of these type of things.
