This is an ideal role if you are looking to grow in sports. I started as an Editor back in 2023, and it has been 2 years since, and I have grown enormously ever since. Thanks to my career goals that aligned with Journalism, and my passion for sports. While some reviews would tell you it's a strict timing, and you get paid less. I'd say, growth does feel itchy. If you are looking to grow your skills, are passionate about writing, and are looking to build a career in media (in and outside India), EssentiallySports is the platform and culture you need. And, if you are concerned about the "overwork" culture, it's not that. Let's just say, remote setup comes with distractions. So, those who are easily distracted would say that. If writing is your passion get ready to be bickered 1000 times while you're writing and you'll start to hate your own work and lose self confidence. The mentorship given by the department is a convenient way to establish control over your writing. They will ask you to change your writing style frequently to meet the unimaginable demands. You'll have to overwork to finish your daily quota and you'll not get paid sufficiently for that. Get ready to overwork with less pay and that too with no paid holidays.
