1. No structure in work - everything is ad-hoc, urgent and important. No planning 2. Too much office Politics - more competition, less collaboration 3. Micromanagement by EXL Managers - some managers make you sit on a call entire day as they want to see you work 4. Toxic work culture - people hide information from others, talk behind etc., 5. Some leaders in certain spaces like Insurance, RMTI lack vision and operate like a Lala 6. No hikes, delayed bonuses, delayed promotions in 2024 7. Managers and some ex-EXL clients leave no chance to humiliate you in a call and use unprofessional tone 8. Poor office facilities and a substandard health insurance. 9. They almost never pay referral bonus to you for hired people saying that the profile already existed in their database 10. They hire people with proven tech and business skills and don’t have any plan to utilise them. 11. A lot of leaders who act like solution experts have no technical skillset in data science or AI and only make life difficult by obstructing and questioning work due to their lack of knowledge....Read More

The work environment was very peaceful the deadlines were flexible, great working hours, great hybrid system. Better distribution of promotion points based on the work assigned

I was a campus hired fresher after the offer letter was released it took them nearly 1.2 years to release the joining letter and later after all the training’s and mandatory certifications to get into the projects which took more than 5 months we were in the projects finally and then after 6 months we were on bench for no projects, then the management says we will get opportunities in new departments which happened to help only handful and I personally did not get more than one opportunity to try for a new role at EXL, which resulted in my resignation as asked by the management if not it would be a forceful termination. The problem here is them asking us to resign with just over 1 year of experience which resulted in us being unemployed because nobody would offer jobs for employees with 1 year experience....Read More

Didn't liked anything about the company. They promised me and the salary which got credited is totally different. I raised this concern to HR ops managers but nobody's interested, faught for almost 2 months then I gave up.

The company does not have extra systems so if you're late you're not gonna get the system and, you need to cover your login hours. I don't know why they're always hiring new batches. Politics is there as usual. Also if you have provided medical documents and you're actually ill, still you're not gonna get leaves as per company policy either work or resign!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Management is very toxic. Behaviour is very bad. Not coperative. In Liberty Mutual process environment is very toxic and an culture including those employees who are close to be senior like manager, are getting only leverage.

EXL work policies are flexible, most team are doing WFH Timing wise as a consultancy one has to work from 12 noon to 9:30 pm (Mon-Fri) Managers and people are supportive and plenty of learning opportunity. Salary structure is good, but it depends on your ability and experience how much you can get.

Dislikes

Resources are less so as a lead or manager one has to manage a lot of things. Work is also mostly reporting and basic analysis, so finding a very technical learning role could be tricky

BPO level AVP SVPs like Mukesh Uppada, all involved in exploiting the employees just trying to save their jobs and keep blaming someone or the other. Fake promises of working together and just dodging real efforts. HR also know the situation and they are also just playing by the same books. Silent layoffs asking to resign in the name of lack of projects. No actions taken to improve these cases. Even the exit processes are not standard, you will have to ask them to do their job or else they will breach 90 days too. For that also they will blame you. Miserable conditions of the current employees just surviving there. Flashy Qoq numbers just for public whereas reality being far different. 2-5% yearly raise and denial of other benefits sighting it's Management's call.
