I am writing this review with deep frustration and concern after witnessing firsthand the systemic issues plaguing Gallagher’s workplace environment, particularly in the India operations. What is happening behind closed doors is unacceptable and demands immediate attention from the global leadership. 1. Toxic and Incompetent Management: Many managers lack basic leadership skills and operate with no sense of humanity or accountability. They display open bias toward certain employees, while others—especially local and hardworking individuals—are sidelined, ignored, or mistreated. Decisions are often made based on personal favoritism, not professional merit. 2. Rampant Favoritism, Lobbying, and Internal Politics: Gallagher’s work culture is driven not by performance, but by lobbying and internal politics. Promotions, awards, projects, and even basic recognition are reserved for those who constantly flatter or align personally with upper management. Hardworking employees receive no support, growth, or acknowledgement. 3. Zero Work-Life Balance – Pure Exploitation: There is no concept of login or logout time. Employees are expected to work 10–11 hours daily as a norm, with no structured support or appreciation. Those who raise concerns are often labeled as "non-performers" or "troublemakers" despite delivering consistent, quality work. 4. Biased Appraisals and Fraudulent Rating Systems: Performance systems like CA rating and QPR are a complete myth. Appraisals are handed out to those who are “in the good books” of managers, regardless of actual performance. Ratings are manipulated and do not reflect the real contributions of employees. 5. Skewed Work Allocation and Stolen Contributions: Work is distributed not based on skills or capacity, but on personal favoritism. High-impact projects like Kaizen and Six Sigma are often stolen from deserving contributors and handed to preferred employees so they can take false credit. This disrespects genuine talent and kills motivation. 6. Hostile and Discriminatory Environment: There is growing evidence of subtle hate or bias against local employees. Cultural insensitivity, lack of diversity awareness, and discriminatory behavior by certain managers have created a hostile and divisive atmosphere. 7. No Room for Growth or Skill Development: Career growth at Gallagher is a dead end unless you conform to the toxic ecosystem. Learning opportunities are denied to those not part of internal circles, and innovative thinking is often discouraged unless it comes from a “favored” individual. 8. Mental Health Crisis Ignored – Tragedy on the Work Floor: The most alarming fact—two employees collapsed and passed away on the floor at the Pune office due to the mental and physical toll of this toxic environment. Still, no reforms, no policies, and no accountability followed. This speaks volumes about the company's disregard for human life and well-being. Conclusion: Gallagher's India operations are in crisis. The toxic combination of favoritism, exploitation, poor leadership, and lack of ethical practices has created a dangerous workplace environment. Employees are suffering from depression, anxiety, overwork, and a complete absence of trust. Unless senior leadership intervenes and initiates a genuine cultural reform, this organization will continue to lose its most talented people—and its credibility. This is not just a review. There is no chance of getting promoted people who are vintage like 12 years ,15 year irrespective of competency and potential are getting designation.....which is of no use. Lack of professionalism Among all level of Management. unbiased support to few irrespective of talent. If you are mallu or local well and good . Others states people have to face difficulty to make themselves adjusted to environment. Forcing to speak in local language. It's tough to adjust and learn simple process work also. If you spoke truth remain confident you will be corned among your team members. There's a lot of sycophancy and flattery. Absolutely tougher for honest and loyal people. Inside politics is next level toxic 😔 the only way out to get out of all this shits is to resign . No work life balance everyday they make you work 11-12 hours and will mandatorily watch you . No extra pay for that even on weekend also on holidays . Work work no extra payout . There is one constant same type of work no still development at all once the salary is fixed they are not going to give you a good height in the entire year okay company culture is super drastically toxic and there is no promotion promotions are only given to the vintage people who has been 10 year 15 years with a company and respective of their competency and potential they are holding just because they are vintage in the company they are getting the promotion also they are getting a favour from the upper management level. My department GHRSS is very toxic because of the manager. She is such a saddist, egoistic person. I have raised this issue to HR with proofs and now I'm being targeted on a daily basis. There is no scope for learning, mostly there is a lot of manual work which can be easily automated.
