Not much pressure.Those who are permenant employee they just don't work. Only saving grace is that it is close to ny native place
No promotions of contractual employees.No salary increase.Few leaves as compared to permenant employees.No residence allotted.All work done by contractual doctors.Regular ones do very less work.No job security.Can be terminated same day as soon as regular employee joins.salries of contractual employees is also delayed

There is so much scope to learn obstetrics because of the case load and less health care staff. We get to see many complicated cases from many rural areas.
Since there are no PG's in the institute, there is a lot of workload and the patient care n monitoring is less compared to other PG medical institutes. Exposure to gynaecological cases is very less. As a senior resident, all the work load is forced on the resident.
The work is very hectic but interesting as we get exposure to many different cases. But the major dissatisfaction is about gynaec cases which we are not given a chance to see.
As it was a project running under GMCH, Chandigarh. Work environment and staff of GMCH were good. Job security and career growth was poor. Budget was granted by ICMR Delhi. Their management was poor. Salaries not received in time. Budget queries were very rigid and poor. Last One month salary not given by ICMR. Poor Experience of ICMR Delhi
It was a good experience to work in GMCH.? Job Secutiry and career growth are the issues faced by contractual staff.
Excellent exposure with multiple exposure to different cases with detail seeking helping to increase my knowledge and understanding of pathology which can be used to assist doctors and medical practice in helping patients.
