It logistics team provide some low grade olx laptops followed by itfo who never be able to fix laptop issues they just do some basic troubleshooting and give the laptop back to employees there is another one connect team who closes tickets immidiatly after raising it, it’s a chain of activities that needs to be done even after that they don’t replace your laptop. Someone should look at their Helpdesk process to improve employee experiences...Read More

A complete mess. The sort of experience I had along with some of my colleagues who joined on the same date was appalling. What I found out that the communication from HCLtech's end is disastrous on so many levels. Now I am not sure if it's the project which we were going to get tagged or not, but the experience was not good. Have you ever heard of an employee going to bench after joining a new company. No communication whatsoever was provided what was the reason behind it, then after 2 weeks, we were invited to train and get tagged to a new project for a different role, we were trained for 1 month on and off and after that again no communication about what is happening. After 2 months of training and anxiously waiting for the outcome, they inform I am not getting tagged because the client needs my passport and I don't have one. Never did HCLTECH ever say that Passport was mandatory. Post that I had to apply for a passport to avoid another scenario as such. Appalling experience....Read More

No hikes have been given for the past 3 years. If we ask, they say, "We'll give a hike next quarter." They don't provide cabs, and There is no scope for skill enhancement or technical upskilling.

actually I wasted one year of time here because I gave face to face interview for 3 rounds after selecting to HCL their was a internal project discussion which means internal interview that guy was very rude and finally he told like I don't know any thing waste candidate for position ....my question is like if I am not capable for that position why HCL is selected me ? Am I not capable? Or HCL interview panel persons are not capable of selecting right person? But any how I wasted 1yr in HCL.....please don't trust HCL...Read More

It totally depends on the project where i got a very understanding team where work used to be like a child's play rather than a daily labour. Special thanks for my managers who made me work with integrity.

Event hough we go up the ladder in the sense of job titles the salary range increases like a garden slug walking over a wall.

You will chances to learn new or latest technologies. Able learn process and procedures to handle new clients or Bidding projects etc.

Dislikes

Salary hike won't happen properly . Even if they give it will be less than 4% and can't expect when you will get a hike. Sometimes it take years together to get a hike..All depends on in which LOB you work for and which project is it long term or profit margin etc..will come to picture.so getting a hike has got multiple parameters. If all parameters fall in place you get a max 4%-5%.

Frequent project jumps within organisation, anytime you are used per skill and the higher management releases you without reason and tells we use you in other area, that way no stability to show for promotion.

Major clients provides Work from home. In some clients there was good skill development scope. But it is very minimal

Dislikes

If you want explore more and learn new things, HCL Tech is not correct option. Majority of projects only have BAU operations. For developers, there were no projects to upskil their development skills. If you wanted to grow as a Developer (in any technology) don't choose HCL Tech.
