If you have worked here for more than 0 years you can feel safe and stop working as by this time no one can take panga with you and u live your own way

Dislikes

Managers are pathetic they only look upwards , they don't care about their staff reporting to them.

No feedback system for managers, this company is worst than govt company.

People who got a hand on their head by sr manager are kings and don't care for work at all

Anyone good at politics and chaplusi shall join this company and they have a golden career ahead.

Anyone who want to grow by work and doing more work shall avoid joining.

Sapience have been installed on Ur laptop and monitor every click u do and how many breaks u take .

This company have mostly people who are working here more than ten years any new joiner is not welcomed and given a hard time ..people bully new joiners and you will feel frustrated after joining

Anyone who joined after 2015 want to leave asap from here.

Work

Boring work

Only work here is to show cast to at management without logical thinking if you raised logical question u may get fired or will be asked to shut up and leave.

If you ask a skip level or 121 people will not accept your calendar invite .

Great level of Professionalism, Culture, and HR Policies. If you have talent you can reach up to heights but you need to wait minimum 2 years.

Dislikes

Complete chaos in leadership & strategy and would like to iterate that frequent changes in organisational level is not done properly even ground reality has been overlooked completely.

In the year 2016-17, HSBC fired many people and we have seen how freshers & experienced both has been fired in 1 week or so after recruiting them.

My team members were average, lack knowledge not because they are inefficient but organisation didn't allocated professionals skill wise rather they asked us to learn skills, adapt & work.

Training was good but it was having no meaning wherein that whole process has been removed later on after we started working on such things due to organisational level changes.

Appraisals are only good if you stay in the company for minimum 2 years and not before that, work environment is awesome so be relax, go office on time and leave on time and nobody will stop you and if you want you can connect it from home after your probation period is over.

Overall a Good Company and would like to work with HSBC again.

HSBC GLT is the BEST PLACE TO WORK. This is the best place of work in all IT companies I have served in my career. Projects are very well managed so this results in almost zero stress work. The company promotes a culture of sharing knowledge and helpfulness in general. Salaries are in the upper bracket within the industry. A very employee friendly workplace. Another best thing about HSBC GLT is HR. HR policies are employee friendly, well documented and transparent. HR is very helpful and is ever willing to resolve people issues as a matter of priority. On career advancement, one gets to learn technical skills, best project management practices and all the latest industry jargon e.g. automation. The company promotes innovation so if an employee shows an attitude to innovate, management provides full support. HSBC GLT is highly ethical. I would recommend HSBCat all levels.

Work environment is exceptionally very good with supporting team, always cooperating with each other and also valued achievements with rewards and recognition. Work-life balance is really very well managed and no extra pressures are from the management levels. Very good in terms of career growth and working for HSBC as a brand it's really innovative and learning with new things and technology every day keeps you in touch with new workarounds. Travel policy is good but depends upon the projects and the urgency from the client's end, I got the opportunity to travel abroad, especially to UK and APACK countries very often. Another point is that my colleagues come from various cultural backgrounds, and we work in collaboration.

Dislikes

The work pressure is not that much but with the quality aspects there are no compromisation and that's the reason people are willing to complete the work within the stipulated time frame

Work

My work is really challenging to make sure about the right training materials are provided with respect to the country as per their requirements and policies.

HSBC in itself is a big brand ,getting an opportunity to work here would be no less than a dream for some, I'm not an expert on salary appraisals but yes HSBC offers good appraisals in the market as compared to its contemporaries (you could always expect a hike in two digit %) however lately it also depends on the project, team and the profit that your department gains. Again job security and career growth really depends on the department and projects that you are a part of .Speaking of training and learning their are monthly trainings from basics like excel to project domains and it depends on every individual's capacity to grasp things, work life balance is good at HSBC ,though you do have to work through day and night depending on the demand and deadlines which is obvious. Overall it's a good company to have a work experience at.

Dislikes

The only important thing is you should land in a good team and if you are fortunate enough rest of the things will fall in place and if that does not happen you might stumble a little and would have to work your way around to get into good projects if you can maintain a good network it would be handy.

Being a global company, it has good infra structure and office environment is attractive and comfortable. There are opportunities to learn new skills and the management who have worked here for past few years are very good and reliable.

Dislikes

Senior management does not have a very strategic approach. No continuity in actions and every year the plan changes course. Experienced staff are not given their due and new employees are given more importance. Limited career growth opportunities. Poor employee engagement which is leading to spiral in staff morale. Things are going from bad to worse. Only due to poor IT job market, the attrition level is down. People are fed up.

Work life balance is good you get enough time for extra curriculars or if you want to go for further studies you will get enough time to prepare work pressure is way less as compared to a service based company, however this varies from project to project.

Dislikes

There is no scope of growth. favouritism runs around for hikes and promotions. There is no job security people were fired during their induction which was within 3 months of joining. Won't suggest any fresher to join the company

Work

Its boring and repetitive

There is no value to people who are actually working on the ground. top management doesnt consider employee view while making any policies or change org structure. They keep on doing everything to improve brand value but no- one speaks the truth.

Work

Hectic work with no innovation and no ownership. WFH policy is there but employee cant take benefit of it. Managers keep on giving excuses for not giving wfh and HR doesnt pitch in.
