Huawei is a leading company in the area of Telecommunication and Networking. it's among one of the best company which provide services in Telecommunication and nowadays everywhere brand matters.
Furthermore, it has hundred of reputed clients globally so it provides the opportunity to get the interaction with those clients globally. If we join Huawei as a company to get the recognition in market then it's a good idea to be a part of this organization.
Apart from this, work culture is also satisfactory here. You can enjoy the work if you are self dependent and can stick yourself within the environment of this company.
Now if you talk about job security. it's not secure anywhere nowadays. The level of competition, your skills, your behavior to your seniors, your performance and the global market trend etc; they are plethora of things which decide your sustain in IT jobs. In Huawei, if your performance is good and you get the good predefined grading then you can stay here for a long time

Dislikes

I cannot dislike anything but i agree somethings are there which are not pleasant in Huawei. First of all, when we join Huawei, we think we are going to MNC so will be getting everything which is provided in other MNC. But it's not like that in Huawei. Here work, work and work is the only things which matters.

You have to work continuously till your boss and management is not satisfactory. Sometimes you have to work for a long time and work on a single thing over over which will definitely irritate you and will put lot of pressure on you. Even you work for a long time, the chances of getting appreciation is very small. You will get the opportunity of learning new things hardly and you have to work on the technology and Project which has been assigned to you. If you lucky, you will get good project.

Work balance, career growth, job satisfaction etc are average from my view point.

Well some of my team mates are very cultured and well organized and are wizards in what they knew, so am able to learn a lot from handful of them.
The training is seasonal and not really frequent, but i can say its on an average noting spectacular about it.
Career growth is not visible especially if its an aspect of career lather, its politics: some way you're pegged to a fixed position and the Chinese keeps moving.
On appraisal you mostly get what you performed. I was on unflinching appraisal for over a year solemnly based on performance: is the only major good things that happens to me while i was there.

Dislikes

Some team mates are hypocrites, they do feeds Chinese and Huawei management with false information just to stay relevant and to remain with the company.
Job security in Huawei is zero, nothing is guarantee as regards to Job security: as guys are laid off frequently without any sensible excuses.
Politic is the order of the day, Chinese people play our Co Nigeria colleagues fervently, in terms of incentives and career upgrade. And sadly we do not ahve a say.
Work life in Huawei is heinous, is an advance slavery, they don't talk about staff welfare all they ever care about is how more work will be channeled to you without bothering about increasing your salary.

Work

My work in Huawei in one word is a terrible experience: It's full of regret, chaos and heartbreaking. I gave in everything and i got nothing at the end of the day. Work is notwithstanding challenging as they argument work daily.I have my facts on this.

Working at Huawei as developer makes you to expose into various fields like development, testing, maintenance, production support. So will get hands on knowledge on most of the things. But you can't become and expert in any of the field. You gets very less time to code ,delivery and testing. They don't bother about quality much as delivery is most important thing. I delivered more than 150 packages in a span of 2 years. They having huge campus and gym where you can go for a walk and run at evening time, infact you wont get time to do those actually. There is a lounge room on some of the floors, you can sleep at night if you have more work to do.

Dislikes

Work culture is terrible, sometimes I even stay in office for continuous 2 days with out sleeping. There is a chance of damage of health to most of the employees. Now a days they have been selling most of their products to othr companies like CSI, so many employees have to resign and join that company.HRs are even more terrible, they don't even know that you exists in that company. You only come to know about them when you go to collect your experienced letter.

The company is relatively ahead in the indian market and has a global client base and boasts of reliable, robust products especially in optical/ transmission domain...There is plenty of opportunity for growth for on roll staff..Good travel opportunities and training courses..Its advisable to only join here on on roll...Company never upgrades off roll employees to on roll since the last 3 years

Dislikes

Poor work culture..Managers in top mangement never notice what is going on in operation level..Poor communication between circle heads and project managers..Lot of internal politics is involved..All of a hard working and outstanding employees work often goes unnoticed..No job stability either especially when project work is less..Employees are simply demoted or dismissed on short notice as per project demands..

Few Key things one can get benifited.
1. Joining as a Fresher is very good choice to work in Huawei
2. Lot of onsite opportunities gives great exposure to client and good DA
3. You will get to know overall telecom exposure, since it allows you to work on different modules in different projects.
4. you can play higher roles with minimum experience based on project requirements.

Dislikes

cons:
1. Most of the times you will join as contract, getting into permanent is difficult task and for some it takes ages.
2. As you gain experience your salary is low, the basic pay is very low always.
3. No work life balance.
4. only few gets promoted and get higher roles to play in actual on paper.

Work

Work is hectic and many products to learn. Most of the times the amount of work depends on project that your working on.

If you are working in GNOC, there are many projects in which ull get time to study as they don't have much work to do. They don't provide much skill n knowledge development trainings but infrastructure is damn good here.

Dislikes

Many things.....
Management, HR Policy, worst work life balance, Not upto standard hike, working environment is ok ok . Not too much to learn. They don't talk about innovation and employee work like robots. Teammates are good and helping. No job security anytime they can tell u not to come frm tomorrow.

Work

I am working as front office engineer , No innovation no challenge even a 12th standard guy can do this work

Just to stop gap arrangement. Company don't trust employees. Perks are very poor. Earning money is very very tough. Just depend on fix salary. To earn incentive or variable salary is impossible. Hard work but no good money. Internal team is not so good.

Dislikes

Work culture is bad, no transparency in transaction. They will award some money and deduct in other form. HR is pathetic, makes lots of mistake in offer letter, increment letter. Very long working hours. Office place is worst. No good facilities
