Very bad job security. I mean, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO JOB SECURITY AT ALL. And what's even worse, there is a strict anti-moonlighting policy at IBM, you can NOT have your monetized YouTube channel or even create your own website if you like, because IBM says that "you have to be faithful", like what if you suddenly fire us and we have no other income source. They want you to be penniless, and act as if it's your fault. Very toxic And what's even worse, they don't even have much projects. They will only give you skills that they decide. And will put you in running projects who don't even bother you to give KTs or any training of any sort, and will grade you as a "low performer", like seriously??? -> My project team lead always asks to work overtime, and if I deny, then he would start lecturing me about how he worked when he was a fresher and asked me to work whenever the project was needed. I worked under two team leads, and both of them are like the same. Always thinks about completing the tasks. If I ask any leaves (planned leaves / sick leaves), they won't approve it. Very rarely, they would approve my leaves like if clients were having public holiday at they location. Your experience will depend on what project you are assigned to and how understanding your team/project lead would be. -> No salary hike. Even though you did well and received good feedback from your project manager, you would get a salary hike like 2 - 5%. No salary increment.. max 5%. You can't change or take training on different technology. Manager will decide for you. Manager is infact God in IBM. Never spoken to any HR or even didn't know who was my HR in 16 years of my career in IBM. After putting my paper no one asked except the tool why I am leaving.
