IBM provides opportunities for cross learning which is good but due to lot of work pressure you will not be able to take benefit of that

No work life balance, No hikes, No promotion, micro management, No extra activities, no employee benefits. It is a waste company to work

Dislikes

Work life balance is terrible would be an understatement. Asked to work on every weekends even though it could have been managed on weekdays itself with proper management, sometimes even on holidays and all this without any compensation. Everyone keeps quiet about this, if you speak up, you will be highlighted. This is so worse that any other benefit pales in comparison, even a high salary.

One of the best MNC so far. Earlier I was working in TCS for almost 3years but if I compare both then the work life balance in IBM is great also it provides the facilities that everyone wants CAB services, Work from home, No swipe in/out so 9hr is not mandatory, only has a fixed component and great management which is always helpful. So, overall great experience so far.

Company is good but the people like mamagers not good.

Dislikes

There is no trust here. It is removing people by making the people self resign. It's very bad. The managers are saying performance issue and asking people to resign. Managers forcing people to resign if we say no they are saying they will pull out hr.actually there are not giving HR to us. They said to resign without giving atleast one month notice period.

Good for junior bands less than 8

Dislikes

Gets very risky for senior people of band 8 and above . Senior people are not easily allowed into billable projects which can lead to process called UTE PIP , PIP for chargeable utilisation.

Job Security Leaves policy Assignment of project in 2 or 3 months if you are on bench.

-> My project team lead always asks to work overtime, and if I deny, then he would start lecturing me about how he worked when he was a fresher and asked me to work whenever the project was needed. I worked under two team leads, and both of them are like the same. Always thinks about completing the tasks. If I ask any leaves (planned leaves / sick leaves), they won't approve it. Very rarely, they would approve my leaves like if clients were having public holiday at they location. Your experience will depend on what project you are assigned to and how understanding your team/project lead would be. -> No salary hike. Even though you did well and received good feedback from your project manager, you would get a salary hike like 2 - 5%. Nothing to like about being at IBM, they hire you doing false promises and teach you policies and BCG what they won't even follow when comes to reward employee or keeping up with the employee engagement.

False promises. Poor management and just name sake of integrity. They expect integrity from employees but fails to keep it themself! They make anyone manager and the manager is the only person you can go to for anything.
