Salary is uncertain and completely dependent upon fundings. It got delayed 2 to 3 months usually and ADHOC appointment is usually for very short terms one to two month's.

While my experience at IIT Guwahati has been largely positive, like any institution,there are areas that could be improved.For instance,the remote location of the campus can sometimes pose logistical challenges,such as limited access to certain resources or connectivity issues with external collaborators.This can occasionally make planning collaborations or accessing specialized equipment more time-consuming. Additionally,while the institute has made significant strides in research infrastructure, further streamlining administrative processes or increasing funding opportunities for certain interdisciplinary projects could enhance the research experience even more.
