Dislikes

Forget about promotion no matter how much hardwork you do. There is no proper guidelines on band promotion or hikes or salary standardization. Your manager is your only POC

Good work life balance, no pressure for wfo, and multiple learning growth if you go under a good lead and manager

Dislikes

From 2024 the company is seeing some layoffs, sudden closing of operations in certain countries, very low or no hikes appraisals, very much uncertainty about the job security

Likes

The people in Kyndryl are very warm and friendly. The company recognizes that it is a people's choice and employee suggestions are consulted. Appreciate the way they're giving importance to us.

Dislikes

I have not got any promotion in the last 7 years. Also there are not many projects. I am struggling to find myself a different project.

The transparent culture and encouragement along with empathy shown to employees is real and remarkable . You feel that your voice is heard and your view matter irrespective of you role/seniority. Also open culture is helpful to being innovative ideas and get instant support in a start up like environment.

As org is flat now, promotion levels are limited.

I like the way its transforming, despite IBM legacy, its working toward creating its Branding, standardizing and reconsolidation systems & processes. The investors report reflects +ve signs too and its strategy to accelerate growth. Keeping the social causes in its radar is a reflection of making a difference to the Human race and the planet. Being a people manager of Japanese language speaking squad, I think if we can have some revision in banding / appraisal method in ways employee feels recognized for their hard work. Not all resources have technical aptitude (Japanese language experts) yet they are upskilling technically preforming level best too! There is no job security. you can be thrown out in a very short notice. Leadership talks of empathy only in words, but when they decide to remove people, this word is anonymous to them. They are cut throat to just meet their number and nothing beyond that. They don't even care about the performance ratings ,they are only categorizing people based on how old they are and how much are they costing to the company</mark>. It's been more than a year now since I started working in kyndryl and people around me have been very supportive. Starting from my manager to my team-mates, everyone has made sure that I feel comfortable at my workplace.

There is nothing major that I dislike about the company but regarding the promotion, I guess candidates who are eligible and are good with their skillset should be promoted and as I hear now, managers should have that liberty to promote a candidate rather than HR promoting a bunch of candidates at once....Read More

Work policy: No one in the offices asks me to come to office. I come to office whenever i feel like working from office or when i feel like meeting my friends. I have this flexibility which is a big plus.
