L&T consistently offers numerous training sessions and learning opportunities. The work culture depends on the department you are in. You will feel a sense of pride in society as being associated with a prestigious company. All vendors will respect you and prioritize your work or orders.

Dislikes

The company's appraisal process is the worst. The work culture is terrible. There is no distinction between employees with higher degrees; everyone is treated the same. Within six months, you will be given a heavy workload and responsibilities without proper training. The company imposes extra working hours. The leave policy is alsopoor. During the first year, you are not allowed to take any privilege leave for the first 11 months until confirmation. In the last month, you receive all the accumulated leaves from the previous 11 months, but you can only take them if your boss approves; otherwise, they will be encashed at the end of the year. In the second year, the same cycle repeats: no privilege leave for 11 months, after which it is added to the normal leave cycle. Your performance-linked reward is entirely independent of your actual performance. The appraisal cycle uses a bell curve for ratings, meaning higher-level employees receive better incentives and ratings. It's a system where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. - Its really fun to work in the start at site but as you come to know more about the work, culture, politics, hours and abuse you will definitely start to second guess. - Almost 90% of the GET will leave this job before the end of their first year. The ones who are staying might have financial problems or have their home near-by. - There is shortage of staff because everyone one is leaving and nobody wants to work in this type of environment. -Way too much politics at everything. - If you are not from Gujarat or Maharashtra don't expect growth - No work life balance.You might be lucky if you even get to here these words. It's wake up at 6am get ready go to work. Come back at 9 pm eat and go back to bed because you are exhausted after working all day, cycle repeats. - No fixed timings. You might have to work a 24-30 hours non-stop if asked by your boss or forget your appraisal. - You might be stuck here but unable to process that you are working like a sheep because you don't get time to think about yourself, your life or a better career option. - Even if you reach to top level still there is no chance of changing you work conditions. As work load is very high so one can lear things quickly in a short span of time.

Dislikes

Freshers are overburdened with work. Working Overtime is normal here. No one to help or support. No work life balance. No coordination among different dept. With less salary you be doing work of managers. If any employee resign you will be handed over there work also, replacement for that employee never joins. They will again hire GET again as replacement.
