I always believe that one should be open minded about anything he or she gets into. If one has to nitpick grey areas, one might find many but if you look into the positives then probably the minuses will automatically fade off - I was associated with Landmark for 25 years and I was approached by many during my career but never once I felt the need or urge (be it better salaries or designations) to work for competition. The reasons were many - Great working culture, Empowerment to take decision and be independent, Visionary leader, Great team support and an Organisation which supported diversity and togetherness. Now, one might find people not really agreeing with me completely but as I mentioned earlier, its all about how one perceives. Even when I decided to hang my boots, I was supported very well by everyone in the organisation, which talks a lot about the organisation.

Dislikes

In all honesty, I don’t see negatives in the organisation, though there are always scope of improvements

Work

I can just say that I always looked forward to be at work.... there were days of stress and pressure but it all depended on how well organised I was and how well I handled I work/ time.

Job security is like if you will not leave group, ultimately group will never leave you ! Maybe one can get transfer even if they are not comfortable !

Career growth seems difficult without training !

Appraisals are average !

Travel facilities are good enough for those who works for company.

No idea about politics !

Learning can't possible if your teammates are also blank ! No other sources are available other then teammates !
Yes you are lucky if you get experienced team mates !

Work environment becomes furious sometimes because of software queries & less man power or less mgt.

Regular working process requires analysis, discussion & CONCLUSIONS (MOST IMPORTANT)......So actually no time for any kind of innovation & empoyees seeks encouragement & guidance for regular day to day work.

Work & life balance @ some designations or work profiles risky as they have to stay for some important works !

Joint with the company since 2001 as burgerland outlet incharge.Later tranfer to food court lawn as buffet runner.Was proved as best employee of the yr 2002.Later was promoted as caterring supervisor as well buffet incharge.later got tranferred to warehouse (warehouse asst) due to food court bldg caught fire(2007) Again transferred to another mall as outlet supervisor (Pelati) pasta,sandwiches and coffee shop.again was called of at warehouse till yr March(2017) Finally return back to home country.

Dislikes

the only problem was diffrent managment has different way of working. some manager resign and leave and another person joins so they have diffrent system of working in that case you loose your interest while working. sometime some managers get good offer they quit from the job and move untill the next mngr joins. Finally the staff they are not happy with thier jobs.mangment doest took any initiative action.Finally staff too they leave job and go.

your job is guaranteed and secured until unless you wanna go out of the company, salary is on time. as most of the companies have same politics inside, and growth is not assured until unless your ready to be on favoring your manager or area manager. it all depends on the higher official who works above you, if they are good to you and treat you better by understanding, even though the work load is high, u will never feel about giving up rather u will encourage urself to continue giving good hand on the work. the other name of shoexpress is shoestress

There's job security but nothing else. HR is worst with narrow mind and never learning attitude. Much of the things happen in the company just to create a hype and false image in the market.

If you are good at speaking then its good for you, 'coz the managers in this company don't know about their job. They rely on the knowledge of their subordinaes and present that in such a way to higher managements as if its thier own plan. Disgusting as they won't give you the credit too.There's too much of dirty politics in the organisation. So called ego factor among the management is clearly seen. Being a MNC, there's government way of functioning. HR functions as if they are in '80's. HR head believes that 'auditor does not need knowledge about GST'. If you are good at boot licking and exaggerating about a situation then it's a perfect place to work.

The company is open for change and is getting into new technologies in order to enhance performance. Job security is 100% if your are a performer and growth follows with performance. Salary is best in the industry and again is knowledge based. There is huge opportunity in here to learn and gain extra knowledge as you are free to experiment new ideas and opportunities. Colleagues and seniors are non political as everyone is busy with there own tasks.
Overall its a place to work for as work-life balance is on priority.

Dislikes

The most unsatisfactory part of the organisation is that major part of the team consists of people who are there for decades and are very slow for change. Most of them are in the comfort zone. The company needs more professionals.

The time i joined system was not in place may it be any department and things were rolling in the same old pattern which needed a change and i am happy that it was done and accepted. Initially the pressure was at peak but gradually changed.

As every company have the common thing politics, the person who is good for his/her line manager get promoted and other after being a best performer gets less appreciation
As m from sportsone our increment been cancelled for this year coz my concept was declared to be closed soon. Happy with company but there are some grounds where company need unbiased decisions
And there are many people in the company who are drawing a hefty salary but their contribution is equal to nil. They simply come to pass their time in the office

Marketing budgets are high, so we have the flexibility to spread the arms.

Dislikes

Compensation is very limited and slow. Management doesn't value work and appreciation is hard to receive. The work culture is completely based on seniority and educated staff are actually demotivated to the extent that many of them leave. All the concept managers and GM are uneducated and educated people make them nervous.
There is absolutely no growth and most of the senior staff do not move to other organizations as most of them are unqualified.

On-job training is limited and innovation is stifled. Recognition is not given at all and HR is just a rubber stamp.
Retail floor staff are made to work like animals often stretching to 15-17 hours on weekend and during sale/discount. Many of them are completely exhausted.

Its very monotonous. Educated people are often devalued and demotivated and forced to report to uneducated and illiterate people. Its absolutely dictatorial approach
