- Hikes bonuses less than any other IB. - Extreme favouritism prevails. If you are lateral joiner be prepared to be neglected for every opportunity of getting good work or promotion or exposure. - No good technology or business side exposure. - Fight hard at the time of joining for getting apt designation (9+ don't come less than Manager) 12+ don't come less than AVP. Because once they made you join forget role upgrade for atleast 3-4 years no matter what you do. - Promotions are tough. There is biasing everywhere but here in Macquarie it is really at another level. No matter what you do you won't be appreciated unless your manager has no one else from the old folks left in the team. - Lateral joiners in the firm have bad experience if you join this firm coming with say 8+ years experience you are likely made to leave within 2-3 years once your immediate purpose of joining is resolved. - No transport and even parking not available for employees. They take approx 50k from your salary for year if you opt for parking and that too have waiting. - Special advisory for graduate hires please do not ruin your career starting with Macquarie there is nothing to learn here....Read More
