Out of the city (32 km from the railway station). Your CV for an assistant professor position ,Non Engneering might not be selected for an interview if you don't have a PhD/PG from Central University/NIT/IIT and a minimum of 2 Q1/Q2 Scopus publications. 1. Yet they are offering the 6th pay commission and don't have any plans for the 7th pay commission (they announced it in an open meeting) 2. Very low salary in comparison to the same level of the university; they have three-tier salary system: Tier 1 (Engineering & Management), Tier 2 (Commerce, Bio Sciences, etc.), Tier 3 (Non-Engineering), and there is a significant difference among each tier; for example, e.g. Tier 1 assistant professor might get 90K-1 lac per month, whereas tier 3 will get 55-58 K in hand. 3. Favouritism in internal promotion: buttering is the key skill to get a promotion here. 4. Yearly increments will disappoint you. 5. The only institute where your yearly salary may go down, as they add the PAS (Performance Appraisal System), is the one that shares a significant portion of your salary breakdown. 6. Assistant Professor Non-STEM will get 58K max in hand. 7. The most important thing is that they will create pressure to get a 1-2 Q1/Q2 publications every year, which is also the same for non-engineering courses, as no matter what you contribute to the university, only Scopus publications will be considered for any promotion, especially for academic promotion. 8. University expectations are to be under NIRF 100, but when it comes to salary offers, they will be offering such a poor salary, which might be less than other low-scale universities in Jaipur. 9. Their primary goal is to make it a research university, but at a lower cost. 10. While offering you a job, they will tell you about some reward schemes that are just an illusion, and they will say that by achieving this, you can get an amount equal to 7th pay commission, but remember that it is just a reward and very difficult to achieve. Manipal University Jaipur is a shame! They've got all the funds to spend on fancy & false marketing, but when it comes to actual substance, they're empty-handed. Let me tell you about my recent interview experience with them for a non-teaching position – it was a disaster! The HR team member Kamlesh Bagda, is an absolute joke. HR's in MUJ don't even have the basic qualifications in HR, and their practices are downright pathetic. During the interview, I mentioned my expectation of an average package of 5.6 lakhs, considering my four years of experience in the field. But guess what Kamlesh Bagda had the audacity to say? He claimed it was too much, citing some bogus industry norms. They lie through their teeth, pretending to follow government pay scales, but in reality, they have their salary structure, which they conveniently keep under wraps from candidates and the government. And the lies don't end there. When it comes to yearly appraisals, they promise a minimum of 10%, but it's all a facade. In truth, they barely offer 2% increments annually, and that too, inconsistently. It's appalling! Despite hiking fees by 15-20% every year, they refuse to provide fair appraisals to their employees. Oh, and let's not forget their promises of transportation facilities and horrible university timings. What a joke! They don't even have a transportation system. Staff and students are left to fend for themselves, shelling out a minimum of 5000-6000 rupees from their own pockets to vendors outside to commute to and from the university. Timings are so inconvenient for everyone at this route as well 9 to 6 strict timings (no university has such long hours its an education institution but they treat it as the corporate world in terms of timings but in terms of salary they are worst even call centres nowadays pay basic 25000/ month and if people try to talk about it they scare the staff members and students by saying we will start our work on Saturday if you won't work for long hours. Just imagine how much they are using their employees and paying them nothing. Overall, Manipal University Jaipur is a den of liars and fraudsters. Don't even consider working there unless you're prepared to be deceived, undervalued, and exploited. Stay away, and save yourself from this cesspool of deceit and dishonesty!...Read More
